A summary of the concepts held by the Ahl al-Sunnah.
The current reality of the Muslims and the confusion regarding the victory of the believers.
The current state of the Muslims, characterized by defeat and humiliation,
And the extent of the dominance and tyranny reached by the disbelievers,
Have led to confusion in the minds of some,
And despair regarding the victory of the believers in this worldly life.
This is a severe flaw in understanding,
And a definite failure to grasp the established laws of Allah.
It is also an ignorance of the reality of the names of Allah the Exalted:
The All-Wise, the All-Knowing,
The All-Aware, the All-Powerful,
The Most Merciful, the Most Subtle.
The word of Allah the Exalted:
“Those who wait upon occasion in regard to you and, if a victory cometh unto you from Allah, say: Are we not with you? and if the disbelievers meet with a success say: Had we not the mastery of you, and did we not protect you from the believers? - Allah will judge between you at the Day of Resurrection, and Allah will not give the disbelievers any way (of success) against the believers.” (4:141)
Refutes this understanding.
It is incorrect to claim that the verse refers only to the Hereafter,
Or to allege that the disbelievers possess this world,
While the believers possess only the Hereafter,
Because Allah the Exalted says:
“Lo! We verily do help Our messengers, and those who believe, in the life of the world and on the day when the witnesses arise,” (40:51)
Thus, He decreed their victory in both this world and the Hereafter.
However, one must realize that the victory of the believers is realized
In accordance with the concepts established previously.
In light of this, one must also understand the saying of Allah the Exalted:
“Those who wait upon occasion in regard to you and, if a victory cometh unto you from Allah, say: Are we not with you? and if the disbelievers meet with a success say: Had we not the mastery of you, and did we not protect you from the believers? - Allah will judge between you at the Day of Resurrection, and Allah will not give the disbelievers any way (of success) against the believers.” (4:141)
Allah, glory be to Him, has not granted the disbelievers a way over the believers,
But it is the Muslims themselves who have caused this,
By violating the conditions of victory and empowerment.
It must be firmly believed that this dominance by the disbelievers is partial and temporary;
It will neither stabilize nor endure.
The believers need only trust in their Lord, examine themselves, and acknowledge their own shortcomings in faith.
Then, they must strive earnestly to achieve true faith as previously described.
At that point, the certain law of Allah will be fulfilled, victory will be achieved, and defeat and humiliation will vanish.
