This love takes precedence over the love of one’s own self, family, and children.

Is alone the Bestower and the One who grants all these beloved things.

He is the source and origin of all love.

This necessitates loving Him with the greatest love.

It also necessitates loving those whom He loves and what He loves.

And hating those whom He hates and what He hates.

It entails showing loyalty and enmity for the sake of Allah.

Through this, a person tastes the sweetness of faith.

As the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:

"There are three qualities which, if found in anyone, will cause them to taste the sweetness of faith:

That Allah and His Messenger are more beloved to them

Than anything else besides them;

That they love a person only for the sake of Allah;

And that they would hate to return to disbelief

Just as they would hate to be cast into the Fire."

Secondly: Magnifying Allah, the Almighty and Majestic.

And dedicating worship sincerely to Him alone,

Such as prayer and fasting,

And animal sacrifice, vows, and supplication,

Along with other acts of worship of the heart.

For no act of worship may be directed

To anyone other than Allah, the Almighty and Majestic.

Thirdly: Finding honor in being attributed to Him,

And relying upon Him.

This leads to the disappearance of fear and awe

Of the creation and of becoming attached to them.

The believer finds no honor and seeks no protection

Except in Allah, the Magnificent.

And they rely upon no one but Him alone.

As the Almighty says:

“And trust thou in the Living One Who dieth not, and hymn His praise. He sufficeth as the Knower of His bondmen's sins,” (25:58)

Fourthly:

The tranquility of the heart and its intimacy with Allah, the Almighty and Majestic.

The Almighty says:

“Who have believed and whose hearts have rest in the remembrance of Allah. Verily in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest!” (13:28)

Since the name of Majesty,

Allah,

Every effect resulting from the names and attributes of Allah

Singling out Allah, the Exalted, in judgment and seeking His verdict.

As the Almighty says:

“Shall I seek other than Allah for judge, when He it is Who hath revealed unto you (this) Scripture, fully explained? Those unto whom We gave the Scripture (aforetime) know that it is revealed from thy Lord in truth. So be not thou (O Muhammad) of the waverers.” (6:114)
