And the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace Leaning between them So we said This white man reclining The man said to him Ibn Abdul Muttalib The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to him I have answered you The man said to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace I am asking you, so I am stressing you over the issue You do not find Ali in yourself The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said Ask what you want He said I ask you by your Lord and by the Lord before you Oh God sent you to all people The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said Oh God, yes He said I adjure you by God Oh God commanded you to pray the five daily prayers every day and night The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said Oh God, yes He said I adjure you by God Oh God commanded you to fast this month of the year The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said Oh God, yes He said I adjure you by God Oh God commanded you to take this charity from our rich people So you divide it among our poor The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said Oh God, yes The man said I believed in what you came with And I am a messenger from my people behind me I am Dammam bin Thalabah Brother of Banu Saad bin Bakr In another wording in the Musnad of Imam Ahmad with a good chain of transmission On the authority of Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with them both, he said I sent bin Saad bin Bakr Dimam bin Tha’labah as a messenger to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. So he came to him He leaned his camel at the door of the mosque and then let it go Then he entered the mosque The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was sitting among his companions Dammam was a skinny, hairy man with two beards So he approached until he came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, among his companions He said: Which of you is Ibn Abdul Muttalib? The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said I am the son of Abdul Muttalib He said, O Muhammad The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said Yes Ibn Abdul Muttalib said I am asking you and detracting from the issue Don't find it in yourself The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said I can't find it in myself Ask what you want He said, “I adjure you by God, your God.” And the God of those who came before you There is no God who exists after you Oh, God has sent you to us as a messenger The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said Oh God, yes He said, “Then I adjure you by God, your God.” And the God of those who came before you There is no God who exists after you Oh God commanded you to command us To worship Him alone, not associating anything with Him And to remove these equals that our fathers worshiped with him The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said Oh God, yes He said, “Then I adjure you by God, your God.” And the God of those who came before you There is no God who exists after you Oh God commanded you to pray these five prayers The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said Oh God, yes He said Then he started mentioning the obligations of Islam, one obligatory one Zakat, fasting and Hajj And all the laws of Islam He calls upon Him at every obligatory prayer just as He called upon Him at the previous one Even when he finished he said I bear witness that there is no god but God I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of God I will perform these duties And I avoid what you have forbidden me to do Then neither more nor less Then he went back to his camel Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “No.” If a man with two sticks is believed, he will enter Paradise He said So he went to his camel and released its reins Then he went out and came to his people So they gathered to him The first thing he said was that he said: Miserable is Al-Lat and Al-Izzah They said Meh, Dammam Beware of leprosy and leprosy Fear madness He said Woe to you By God, they do no harm or benefit God Almighty has sent a messenger And He sent down to you a book by which He saved you from what you were in I bear witness that there is no god but God alone, with no partner And that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger And I have brought to you from Him what He commanded you to do and what He forbade you from He said By God, what has been the day since that day?
