And prayers and peace be upon the Seal of the Prophets and Messengers,

We have commenced with the Gentle Commentary

And today's discussion is about Surah At-Tariq.

I have three points of reflection regarding it.

The first point of reflection is concerning what is mentioned about the chapter's context.

It is mentioned that its conclusion corresponds to the beginning of Surah Al-Buruj,

in its warning against those who plot against the believers.

00:01:18.230 --> 00:01:21.230
This means that in the beginning of the chapter,

Surah Al-Buruj,

there is the account of the People of the Ditch,

and a warning to those who plot against the believers.

And at the end of this chapter (Surah At-Tariq),

it states, "Indeed, they are plotting a plot,

and I am plotting a plot. So give respite to the disbelievers; leave them for a while."

Thus, those who plot against the believers

are losers because they are plotting a plot,

but Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, is plotting a plot.

The second point of reflection is, in reality, about another connection between the two chapters.

For connections are not limited to a single aspect;

rather, one can look deeply

and find very many connections between two chapters.

I do not mean only these two chapters,

but between any two consecutive chapters.

Among the connections is

that the last part of the preceding chapter (Al-Buruj)

“Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an.” (85:21)

states, "Indeed, it is a decisive word,

and it is not amusement."

And in this chapter (At-Tariq),

it says, "Indeed, it is a decisive word,

and it is not amusement."

This confirms the truthfulness of the Qur'an,

and that it is truth, among other meanings.

This is a second connection.

The third point of reflection is with a third connection.

Observe the relationship

between "Indeed, they are plotting a plot"

and "Rather, it is a glorious Qur'an

preserved in a Preserved Tablet."

So their plotting

cannot change a single letter in the Book of Allah,

00:02:45.259 --> 00:02:48.259
nor can it remove a single truth

00:02:48.259 --> 00:02:50.259
from this magnificent Book.

With this, I conclude.

And I ask Allah

not to deprive us of the lights of His Book.

And may Allah bless our Prophet Muhammad,

And praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.
