Allah is sufficient as Trustee.” (33:48) 00:02:05.310 --> 00:02:11.310 "and sufficient is Allah as a Disposer of affairs." 00:02:11.310 --> 00:02:13.879 The second: 00:02:13.879 --> 00:02:16.879 The stage of building and formation. 00:02:16.879 --> 00:02:18.879 During this stage, 00:02:18.879 --> 00:02:21.879 the Prophet, peace be upon him, took care 00:02:21.879 --> 00:02:23.879 of those among the Companions who had embraced Islam, 00:02:23.879 --> 00:02:26.879 nurturing them in the House of Al-Arqam in Makkah, 00:02:26.879 --> 00:02:30.879 and purifying them through faith and noble character, 00:02:30.879 --> 00:02:34.879 until they were prepared to work for the religion 00:02:34.879 --> 00:02:36.879 and call others to it. 00:02:36.879 --> 00:02:38.879 When their preparation was complete, 00:02:38.879 --> 00:02:42.879 Allah permitted them to migrate to Madinah. 00:02:42.879 --> 00:02:45.939 Allah the Almighty says: 00:02:45.939 --> 00:02:49.229 "And the first forerunners 00:02:49.229 --> 00:02:54.229 from the Muhajirun and the Ansar 00:02:54.229 --> 00:03:01.680 and those who followed them..." 00:03:01.680 --> 00:03:07.680 “And the first to lead the way, of the Muhajirin and the Ansar, and those who followed them in goodness - Allah is well pleased with them and they are well pleased with Him, and He hath made ready for them Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide for ever. That is the supreme triumph.” (9:100) 00:03:07.680 --> 00:03:14.000 “And the first to lead the way, of the Muhajirin and the Ansar, and those who followed them in goodness - Allah is well pleased with them and they are well pleased with Him, and He hath made ready for them Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide for ever. That is the supreme triumph.” (9:100) 00:03:14.000 --> 00:03:16.000 "...beneath which rivers flow, 00:03:16.000 --> 00:03:22.000 wherein they will abide forever. 00:03:22.000 --> 00:03:28.060 That is the great attainment." 00:03:28.060 --> 00:03:30.759 The third: 00:03:30.759 --> 00:03:33.759 The stage of succession and empowerment. 00:03:33.759 --> 00:03:38.819 This occurred when the Prophet, peace be upon him, migrated 00:03:38.819 --> 00:03:40.819 with his Companions to Madinah. 00:03:40.819 --> 00:03:42.819 In Madinah, 00:03:42.819 --> 00:03:45.819 all the legal rulings were revealed, 00:03:45.819 --> 00:03:48.819 once the faith of the Companions was perfected 00:03:48.819 --> 00:03:53.819 and they were ready to comply with all of Allah’s commands in every situation. 00:03:53.819 --> 00:03:58.819 When they possessed faith, piety, and righteous deeds, 00:03:58.819 --> 00:04:00.819 Allah empowered them on the earth, 00:04:00.819 --> 00:04:04.819 and the Islamic Caliphate was established in Madinah. 00:04:04.819 --> 00:04:06.819 The religion spread, 00:04:06.819 --> 00:04:09.819 and the Prophet, peace be upon him, sent 00:04:09.819 --> 00:04:12.819 his envoys and commanders throughout the earth, 00:04:12.819 --> 00:04:14.819 calling people to Allah 00:04:14.819 --> 00:04:16.819 and ruling by Islam. 00:04:16.819 --> 00:04:20.920 Then, Allah the Almighty took his soul. 00:04:20.920 --> 00:04:22.920 Allah the Almighty says: 00:04:22.920 --> 00:04:30.139 “Allah hath promised such of you as believe and do good work that He will surely make them to succeed (the present rulers) in the earth even as He caused those who were before them to succeed (others); and that He will surely establish for them their religion which He hath approved for them, and will give them in exchange safety after their fear. They serve Me. They ascribe no thing as partner unto Me. Those who disbelieve henceforth, they are the miscreants.” (24:55) 00:05:08.040 --> 00:05:14.319 The effort of calling people to Allah is divided into two parts. 00:05:14.319 --> 00:05:17.319 The first is the effort upon the self, 00:05:17.319 --> 00:05:20.319 which is achieved by compelling the self to obey Allah, 00:05:20.319 --> 00:05:25.319 and remaining steadfast in worship and obedience until death. 00:05:25.319 --> 00:05:27.319 Allah the Almighty says: 00:05:27.319 --> 00:05:36.600 “As for those who strive in Us, We surely guide them to Our paths, and lo! Allah is with the good.” (29:69) 00:05:36.600 --> 00:05:44.120 “As for those who strive in Us, We surely guide them to Our paths, and lo! Allah is with the good.” (29:69) 00:05:44.120 --> 00:05:49.259 The second is the effort upon others, 00:05:49.259 --> 00:05:52.259 which is of three types: 00:05:52.259 --> 00:05:57.259 First, effort upon the disbeliever, hoping they might be guided, 00:05:57.259 --> 00:05:59.610 as He, the Exalted, said: 00:05:59.610 --> 00:06:03.610 "Or do they say, 'He invented it'?" 00:06:03.610 --> 00:06:10.000 “Or say they: He hath invented it? Nay, but it is the Truth from thy Lord, that thou mayst warn a folk to whom no warner came before thee, that haply they may walk aright.” (32:3) 00:06:10.000 --> 00:06:16.350 "No warner had come to them before you," 00:06:16.350 --> 00:06:19.350 "that perhaps they might be guided." 00:06:19.350 --> 00:06:26.459 Second, effort upon the sinner so they may become obedient, 00:06:26.459 --> 00:06:29.459 upon the ignorant so they may become knowledgeable, 00:06:29.459 --> 00:06:32.459 and upon the heedless so they may become mindful. 00:06:32.459 --> 00:06:35.649 As He, the Exalted, said: 00:06:35.649 --> 00:06:43.649 “And there may spring from you a nation who invite to goodness, and enjoin right conduct and forbid indecency. Such are they who are successful.” (3:104) 00:06:43.649 --> 00:06:47.649 "They enjoin what is right" 00:06:47.649 --> 00:06:51.649 "and forbid what is wrong," 00:06:51.649 --> 00:06:59.899 "and it is those who are the successful." 00:06:59.899 --> 00:07:06.660 Third, effort upon the righteous so they may become reformers, 00:07:06.660 --> 00:07:09.660 upon the scholar so they may become a teacher, 00:07:09.660 --> 00:07:12.660 and upon the mindful so they may become a reminder. 00:07:12.660 --> 00:07:18.290 The categories of those who call to Allah. 00:07:18.290 --> 00:07:22.000 Those who undertake this call are of four types. 00:07:22.000 --> 00:07:26.029 The first are those who undertake the call 00:07:26.029 --> 00:07:30.029 because they were influenced by the character of those who call to Allah. 00:07:30.029 --> 00:07:34.029 If they encounter a problem with one of the callers, 00:07:34.029 --> 00:07:37.029 they abandon the call and the callers to Allah. 00:07:37.029 --> 00:07:41.029 Allah has turned them away due to the deficiency of their intention. 00:07:41.029 --> 00:07:44.639 The second are those who undertake the call 00:07:44.639 --> 00:07:49.639 because they found in it the solution to their problems and the fulfillment of their desires. 00:07:49.639 --> 00:07:53.639 When their circumstances improved and they gained worldly success, 00:07:53.639 --> 00:07:56.639 they became preoccupied with that, away from calling to Allah. 00:07:56.639 --> 00:08:02.639 Allah has turned them away because they entered the call with a deficient intention. 00:08:02.639 --> 00:08:08.990 The third are those who undertake the call because it contains rewards and virtues. 00:08:08.990 --> 00:08:11.990 They seek to accumulate rewards, 00:08:11.990 --> 00:08:14.990 so their intention is only for themselves. 00:08:14.990 --> 00:08:17.990 If they find rewards in something other than the call, 00:08:17.990 --> 00:08:21.990 it is easier for them to abandon calling to Allah. 00:08:21.990 --> 00:08:26.529 The fourth are those who undertake the call to Allah 00:08:26.529 --> 00:08:31.529 because it is the command of Allah, which He has made obligatory upon every Muslim. 00:08:31.529 --> 00:08:35.529 They perform worship because it is the command of Allah, 00:08:35.529 --> 00:08:38.529 and they perform the call because it is the command of Allah. 00:08:38.529 --> 00:08:41.529 Their intention is complete. 00:08:41.529 --> 00:08:44.529 Because of their understanding and the perfection of their intention, 00:08:44.529 --> 00:08:47.529 Allah makes them steadfast and aids them, 00:08:47.529 --> 00:08:50.529 and devotes them to the guidance of humanity, 00:08:50.529 --> 00:08:52.529 the implementation of Allah’s commands, 00:08:52.529 --> 00:08:54.529 and the call to Allah. 00:08:54.529 --> 00:08:58.600 They are in the most noble and highest of stations, 00:08:58.600 --> 00:09:03.720 and they are the successors of the Prophet, peace be upon him, in his Ummah. 00:09:03.720 --> 00:09:07.720 We ask Allah to make us and you among this category, 00:09:07.720 --> 00:09:14.720 those who are the inheritors of the prophets, peace and blessings be upon them. 00:09:14.720 --> 00:09:18.360 What have you offered for your religion? 00:09:18.360 --> 00:09:21.360 If you were asked this question on the Day of Resurrection, 00:09:21.360 --> 00:09:23.899 what would your answer be? 00:09:23.899 --> 00:09:26.899 The best answer is to say, 00:09:26.899 --> 00:09:28.899 "I called people to Him." 00:09:28.899 --> 00:09:33.029 "I called people to the monotheism of the Lord of the worlds." 00:09:33.029 --> 00:09:36.029 We all wish to serve this religion, 00:09:36.029 --> 00:09:38.029 and the pinnacle of service 00:09:38.029 --> 00:09:40.029 is bringing people into it. 00:09:40.029 --> 00:09:43.090 These are but days, and you will depart, 00:09:43.090 --> 00:09:47.090 and you will see those stations and the great bliss. 00:09:47.090 --> 00:09:50.639 Rejoice in the love of Allah for you. 00:09:50.639 --> 00:09:54.799 When do you want to start and board the ship of the call? 00:09:54.799 --> 00:09:58.799 I am not asking if you want to start the call, 00:09:58.799 --> 00:10:01.799 for that question is not worthy of you. 00:10:01.799 --> 00:10:03.799 Rather, I ask: when? 00:10:03.799 --> 00:10:06.799 Decide now and do not delay, 00:10:06.799 --> 00:10:09.799 for goodness should not be delayed or postponed, 00:10:09.799 --> 00:10:14.149 lest you lose it forever. 00:10:14.149 --> 00:10:17.149 Procrastination is the destruction of ideas and projects. 00:10:17.149 --> 00:10:20.149 Start gradually in your area 00:10:20.149 --> 00:10:24.149 with awareness-raising and motivational lectures 00:10:24.149 --> 00:10:26.149 about the virtue of calling to Allah. 00:10:26.149 --> 00:10:29.149 You may benefit from the content of this book 00:10:29.149 --> 00:10:31.149 and the PowerPoint presentation 00:10:31.149 --> 00:10:34.149 in various youth centers, 00:10:34.149 --> 00:10:37.149 especially with university students. 00:10:37.149 --> 00:10:41.309 Select the elite from those who participated in the lectures 00:10:41.309 --> 00:10:44.309 for courses on the arts of the call. 00:10:44.309 --> 00:10:46.309 From time to time, 00:10:46.309 --> 00:10:49.309 and through courses, lectures, 00:10:49.309 --> 00:10:51.309 and recreational activities, 00:10:51.309 --> 00:10:53.309 expand the volunteer team 00:10:53.309 --> 00:10:56.309 and those collaborating in the call. 00:10:56.309 --> 00:10:59.309 Distribute brochures and booklets 00:10:59.309 --> 00:11:01.309 to non-Muslims, 00:11:01.309 --> 00:11:03.309 engage with them, 00:11:03.309 --> 00:11:06.309 and apply the skills of the call upon them. 00:11:06.309 --> 00:11:09.309 Train them and follow up with the youth constantly, 00:11:09.309 --> 00:11:11.309 give them tasks, 00:11:11.309 --> 00:11:14.309 and provide moral and material incentives. 00:11:14.309 --> 00:11:19.309 Organize recreational activities every month or two 00:11:19.309 --> 00:11:21.309 to connect them to the call. 00:11:21.309 --> 00:11:25.659 Reflect on the words of Dr. Abdurrahman Al-Sumait, 00:11:25.659 --> 00:11:26.659 may Allah have mercy on him, 00:11:26.659 --> 00:11:28.659 as he says: 00:11:28.659 --> 00:11:30.659 "What makes me cry the most 00:11:30.659 --> 00:11:34.659 is when I meet some of those who have entered Islam, 00:11:34.659 --> 00:11:39.659 and they are weeping for their parents who died outside of Islam, 00:11:39.659 --> 00:11:41.659 and they scream at us: 00:11:41.659 --> 00:11:44.659 'Where were you, O Muslims?'" 00:11:44.659 --> 00:11:48.240 "According to statistics, there die daily 00:11:48.240 --> 00:11:53.240 more than one hundred thousand people outside the religion of Islam." 00:11:53.240 --> 00:11:58.240 "Conveying the religion to these people is a trust upon our necks." 00:11:58.240 --> 00:12:03.299 So what are you offering in the face of this great duty?
