your Ummah will not be able to [perform] fifty prayers each day and night. 00:18:12.910 --> 00:18:16.710 And by Allah, I have tried people before you, 00:18:16.710 --> 00:18:20.829 and I have dealt with the Children of Israel with severe dealing. 00:18:20.829 --> 00:18:25.309 So return to your Lord and ask Him for a reduction for your Ummah." 00:18:25.309 --> 00:18:29.509 The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, turned to Gabriel, 00:18:29.509 --> 00:18:32.630 as if seeking his counsel on the matter. 00:18:32.630 --> 00:18:36.869 Gabriel gestured to him, "Yes, if you wish." 00:18:36.869 --> 00:18:41.349 So Gabriel returned with him to his Lord, the Blessed and Exalted, 00:18:41.349 --> 00:18:42.670 and said, 00:18:42.670 --> 00:18:45.589 "O Lord, lighten the burden for --> 00:19:58.539 Who would perform them? 00:19:58.539 --> 00:20:00.940 Who would be keen to observe them? 00:20:00.940 --> 00:20:04.900 Without a doubt, Moses, peace be upon him, was wise 00:20:04.900 --> 00:20:08.059 when he commanded the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, 00:20:08.059 --> 00:20:11.900 to return to his Lord and ask for a reduction. 00:20:11.900 --> 00:20:14.619 And Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, 00:20:14.619 --> 00:20:19.460 knew that Moses would ask Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, 00:20:19.460 --> 00:20:21.660 to return to his Lord. the heavens. 00:25:20.789 --> 00:25:22.710 And Mi'raj is from the root 'aruj', 00:25:22.710 --> 00:25:24.309 which means ascent. 00:25:24.309 --> 00:25:26.470 And Isra is from the root 'sara', 00:25:26.470 --> 00:25:29.180 which means to travel by night. 00:25:29.180 --> 00:25:33.940 When the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, woke up in Mecca, 00:25:33.940 --> 00:25:35.579
