Summary of Sunni concepts
Having a good opinion of God requires doing good deeds
Al-Hasan Al-Basri said
There are people whose gods are the security of forgiveness
Until they left this world with no good deeds
They said we have good faith in God
They lied
If he thought well of him, he would do better
Having a good opinion of God
But it is done with good deeds
The philanthropist will work
He thinks well of his Lord to reward him for his good deeds
He does not break his promise
And accept his repentance and good deeds
As for those who commit sins excessively and say:
God will forgive us
He is the Forgiving, the Merciful
These people resemble the Jews whom God said about them
They take the offer of this lowest and say we will be forgiven
If an offer like it comes to them, they will take it
Was not the covenant of the book taken from them?
Do not say anything about God except the truth
And they studied what was in it
The Hereafter is better for those who fear
Do you not understand?
And in this extravagance of sins
And claiming her forgiveness from God
Bad manners with God and security from His deception
And God Almighty says
Are they safe from God’s deception?
No one is safe from God’s deception except the people who are losers
