The lifting of trustworthiness at the end of time.
Although trustworthiness is inherently rooted in human nature,
stemming from the trust of moral responsibility that man took upon himself,
it is nonetheless among the virtues that will be lifted from people's hearts at the end of time.
As the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, informed us in a long hadith, in which he stated:
"Trustworthiness descended into the depths of men's hearts."
Then he spoke of the lifting of trustworthiness, saying:
"A man will sleep, and trustworthiness will be snatched from his heart."
People will continue to trade, yet hardly anyone will be fulfilling their trusts,
until it is said, 'There is a trustworthy man among the tribe of so-and-so.'" (The hadith is agreed upon).
Therefore, let every Muslim hold fast to fulfilling trusts.
Let him strive to be among those who are pointed out for their trustworthiness,
so that he may attain its merit and be saved from the burden of neglecting it.
