So I addressed the people and said
People
The world has given sight
A shoe left
Only a sliver of it remained
Like pouring water from a vessel, one of you gets infected
Indeed, you are in a house from which you will inevitably move
So move on from it as well as you can
To a house that will never disappear
It was mentioned to us
That stone is thrown from the brink of Hell
He falls there seventy autumns
It does not reach its bottom
By God's name, it will be filled
It was mentioned to me
Indeed, between the two who die is one of the gates of Paradise
A forty-year journey
I swear to God that a day will come upon him
It is very crowded
And I seek refuge in God
To be great in myself
And God is small
And I saw me with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
Seven seven
We have no food except tree leaves
Until it hurt our cheeks
I found a cloak
So I split it in two
So I gave half of it to Saad bin Abi Al-Qas
I wore half of it
Not one of those seven is alive today
Except that he is the prince of Egypt from the lands
When the Hajj season came
I appointed one of my brothers as my successor in Basra
Something came out
When I completed Hajj
I traveled to the city
There I asked the Commander of the Faithful
To relieve me of the emirate
Omar, may God be pleased with him, refused and did not spare me
So I left him
I prayed to God not to return me to Basra
And never to the emirate
God answered my prayer
Then death overtook me on the way
Close to the city
