The Reality of Loyalty to the Nation According to Proponents of Nationalism
If we were to trace the concept of nationalism
We would find its origin in the secular West
Which separates political relations from religious relations
And replaces loyalty to Allah and religion with it
And prioritizes it over any other loyalty
So what do the proponents of nationalism want
And what do they call for loyalty to, to the exclusion of all else?
Is it the land of the nation, or its development, or its people?
And so on.
It is an ambiguous concept
Behind which hypocrites who hold power in most countries hide and take refuge
To pass off the enslavement of people in its name
To their ruler who has absolute authority over the country
And to the clique surrounding him.
So the reality of this call
Is allegiance to the ruler and his state
Even if that causes harm to the nation and its oppressed citizens
It is a distorted call in many Muslim countries
And its proponents are not sincere in their nationalistic claims
And in reality, they are enemies of the nation
And they only care about their personal interests
Even if that comes through treason and collaboration with the nation's lurking enemies.
