A summary of the concepts held by the Ahl al-Sunnah.
The efforts of the people of falsehood to combat sacred knowledge by creating confusion around it.
Since the people of falsehood are unable to confront knowledge and its scholars directly,
they have resorted to fighting sacred knowledge
by obscuring it from the people or casting doubt upon it.
Just as the disbelievers of Quraysh did in the past, when they said,
“Those who disbelieve say: Heed not this Qur'an, and drown the hearing of it; haply ye may conquer.” (41:26)
And just as the enemies of Ibn Taymiyyah burned his books,
and just as contemporary tyrants ban the books of scholars who oppose them,
and likewise block websites that express opposition.
Occupying people with their livelihoods and entertainment to distract them from sacred knowledge.
Among the methods used to combat the spread of knowledge
is distracting people from it by preoccupying them with their livelihoods and various means of amusement,
such as sports, competitions, television series, and game shows,
and other such things, under the pretext of entertainment.
In reality, this is a waste of what is called people's leisure time on falsehood,
so that they do not turn toward seeking sacred knowledge.
Alienating people from the schools of fiqh.
Another method is
searching for the extreme and radical opinions within every school of thought,
gathering them, and presenting them in a single context,
and repeating this in various forms
to influence minds
and alienate them from all schools of fiqh,
along with all the knowledge and truth they contain.
Attacking the scholars themselves.
In addition to attacking knowledge,
the people of falsehood attack the bearers of knowledge and truth themselves,
either through imprisonment and torture,
which is well-known and needs no description,
or by tarnishing the image of the scholars
so that they fall in the eyes of the people and are shunned.
For if the bearer falls, the burden they carry falls with them.
Pharaoh said regarding Moses, peace be upon him,
“(Pharaoh) said: Lo! your messenger who hath been sent unto you is indeed a madman!” (26:27)
And the disbelievers of Quraysh said to Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
“And they say: O thou unto whom the Reminder is revealed, lo! thou art indeed a madman!” (15:6)
The West’s containment of Muslim scholars,
or getting rid of them.
The West strives to contain those who excel among the Muslims
in modern sciences
and to benefit from them.
If they do not succeed in that,
they seek to kill them and get rid of them,
just as they did with the Egyptian nuclear scientist,
Yahya al-Mashad.
