Self-accountability
The basis for holding oneself accountable is the words of God Almighty
O you who have believed, fear God, and let every soul see what it has put forward for tomorrow, and fear God. Indeed, God is aware of what you do.
If one sees an error
Correct it by quitting and repenting
Or he saw negligence
Fix it with effort
And seek God's help in completing His work
And the expression is saying
And let a soul see what it has put forward for tomorrow
It has its inspiration
It is as if one is looking
To what he did himself
Of works
In all its details
Is it useful for tomorrow?
Doomsday
Or will it be a burden on him?
Omar bin Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him, said
Hold yourselves accountable before you are held accountable
Weigh yourselves before you commit adultery
It will be easier for you in the reckoning tomorrow
Hold yourselves accountable today
They were decorated for the biggest show
On that day you will be exposed and it will not be hidden from you
