A summary of the concepts held by the Ahl al-Sunnah.
Reactionary.
A term coined by Communists and nationalist Ba'athists,
And those who followed them, the secularists,
To describe those who hold fast to Islamic Sharia.
By it, they intend to accuse them of regressing hundreds of years,
To the time when the Qur'an was revealed,
And the Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, lived,
Along with his noble Companions, may Allah be pleased with them.
So whoever follows the path of the Prophet, peace be upon him,
And his noble Companions,
Is considered a reactionary by them.
They use this term to disparage him,
Implying that he wishes to take people back to previous eras,
And that he rejects progress and modern life.
Yet, as for following the path of the Prophet, peace be upon him,
And his noble Companions,
What an honorable trait that is.
It is a great honor for anyone who is characterized by it.
As for the accusation of rejecting progress and modern life,
That is a fabrication with which these liars pelt anyone who holds fast to his religion,
In order to deceive the people,
And turn them away from anyone who calls them to adhere to the limits of the Sharia.
They attempt to convince people that progress contradicts this alleged reactionism,
And that it requires liberation from the constraints of the Sharia,
Which they label as old and reactionary,
And to be unrestrained in living in the modern age,
Without caution against any sins or violations of the law of Allah.
If we look at the state of those who apply this term to those who hold fast to their religion,
We find that they are the ones who have fallen into reactionism in its darkest form,
Having regressed to the Age of Ignorance and disbelief,
Which the Messengers came to eradicate,
And to call people to the monotheism of the Lord of the worlds.
