Allah will try you by (the ordeal of) a river. Whosoever therefore drinketh thereof he is not of me, and whosoever tasteth it not he is of me, save him who taketh (thereof) in the hollow of his hand. But they drank thereof, all save a few of them. And after he had crossed (the river), he and those who believed with him, they said: We have no power this day against Goliath and his hosts. But those who knew that they would meet Allah exclaimed: How many a little company hath overcome a mighty host by Allah's leave! Allah faileth not His promise, but most of mankind know not.” (30:6) 00:02:55.430 --> 00:02:59.460 And it may materialize in a form that humans do not perceive, 00:02:59.460 --> 00:03:03.460 because they seek the familiar forms of victory and triumph. 00:03:03.460 --> 00:03:10.460 But Allah the Almighty desires another form of victory, which is more perfect and lasting. 00:03:10.460 --> 00:03:14.460 So, what Allah wills will occur, not what humans will. 00:03:14.460 --> 00:03:16.719 Sixthly, 00:03:16.719 --> 00:03:23.719 victory and establishment are the fruits of steadfastness upon the methodology of Allah the Almighty, seeking His countenance. 00:03:23.719 --> 00:03:26.719 For it has never happened in the history of humanity 00:03:26.719 --> 00:03:29.719 that a group remained steadfast upon the guidance of Allah 00:03:29.719 --> 00:03:34.719 without Him granting them strength, invincibility, and happiness in the end, 00:03:34.719 --> 00:03:39.719 after preparing them to bear the trust and preserve it. 00:03:39.719 --> 00:03:41.719 Allah the Almighty says: 00:03:41.719 --> 00:03:45.719 “Allah hath promised such of you as believe and do good work that He will surely make them to succeed (the present rulers) in the earth even as He caused those who were before them to succeed (others); and that He will surely establish for them their religion which He hath approved for them, and will give them in exchange safety after their fear. They serve Me. They ascribe no thing as partner unto Me.
