The nuclear forty
On the authority of Abu Dharr, may God be pleased with him
On the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, in what they narrated on the authority of God Almighty
He said
Oh my servants
I have forbidden injustice to myself
And I made it forbidden among you
So do not oppress
Oh my servants
All of you are lost except those whom I guide
So seek my guidance and I will guide you
Oh my servants
You are all hungry except for the one you fed
So ask me for food and I will feed you
Oh my servants
You are all naked except for the one you cover
So seek help from me and I will clothe you
Oh my servants
You sin day and night
I forgive all sins
So ask forgiveness from me and I will forgive you
Oh my servants
You will not achieve my harm by harming me
You will never benefit from me and benefit me
Oh my servants
If I were the first of you and the last of you
And your people and your jinn
They were as pious as the heart of any man among you
This did not increase my possessions at all
Oh my servants
If I were the first of you and the last of you
And your people and your jinn
They were the most wicked of one man's heart
This does not diminish anything from my kingdom
Oh my servants
If I were the first of you and the last of you
And your people and your jinn
They stood up at one level and asked me
So I gave every human being a question
That's not enough of what I have
Except as a needle decreases if it enters the sea
Oh my servants
It is your deeds that I count for you
Then I will pay it back to you
Whoever finds good, let him praise God
Whoever finds something else
He only blames himself
Narrated by Muslim
This hadith shows the breadth of God’s mercy and justice
Injustice is forbidden in all its forms
It is not permissible for a person to assault others regarding their rights, money, or honor
It also confirms the servants’ complete lack of God for guidance, sustenance, and forgiveness
And all goodness is in the hands of God alone
