Valid interests
These are interests that the Sharia has affirmed and considered valid through specific evidence,
and for which it has legislated rulings to achieve them.
These are interests that cannot be rejected,
and there is no disagreement regarding their permissibility and implementation.
Among these are:
The interest of preserving lives, for which the ruling of *qisas* (retaliation) was legislated.
The interest of preserving wealth, for which the cutting off of the thief's hand was legislated.
The interest of preserving intellects, for which the prohibition of alcohol was legislated.
And so on, to the end of that.
