Therefore, the actions of the hearts and repairing the secrets are more obligatory for the servant than the actions of the limbs
With your obligation to them, and with its goodness, phenomena are corrected, and with its corruption, they become corrupted

Indeed, there is an embryo in the body, and if it is fixed, the whole body is fixed
If it is spoiled, the whole body will be spoiled

Is the true believer different from the hypocrite?
Except for the deeds and conditions in each of their hearts
Hearts are the subject of God Almighty’s gaze

God does not look at your pictures and your money

To purify their beds from impurities and pests

As God Almighty said

If the believer sins

The glorification and reverence of God disappear from the heart

And everyone who remembers him is a righteous person

If a person feels lonely from God and from righteous people
His heart became ill and he was unable to do good deeds and to advance to the ranks of perfection
Until his situation turns from disobedience and obedience to hatred and aversion
He does not open his heart to obey, nor does he shy away from disobedience
In short, apparent sins and their abundance harden the heart and kill it
The people who are farthest from God have a hard heart

Is the effect of fasting on piety, sincerity and certainty hidden?
God Almighty said
O you who have believed, fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become righteous
Likewise, it is no secret that jihad for the sake of God brings about love for the afterlife
He renounced the world
Surrender to God and steadfastness in the truth
It is sufficient to explain the effect of the obedience of the limbs on the actions of the heart
To elaborate on the effects of one obedience on the heart
It is obedience to the anger of the sight and abstaining from forbidden matters
This will result in the following
First, the heart unites in love of God and human beings in Him
While letting go of sight causes the heart to turn away from God and become distracted
It creates loneliness between the servant and his Lord
Secondly, it covers the heart with light
Also, releasing it causes darkness
This is why God first commanded the believing men and women to turn a blind eye
As God Almighty said
Tell the believers to lower their gazes
And he said, “And tell the believing women to make them angry with their eyes.”
Then, after detailing that, he mentioned the verse of light
God is the light of the heavens and the earth
The likeness of His light is like a niche in which there is a lamp
The lamp in a glass
The bottle looks like a shining star lit from a blessed tree
Olive is neither eastern nor western
Its oil almost glows even if it is not touched by fire
Light upon light
God guides to His light whomsoever He wills
God sets examples for people
And God is All-Knowing of all things
To indicate that the light of a person who lowers his gaze
Derived from the light and success of God Almighty
Through this light, guidance is obtained
Heresies and misguidance are abstained
Thirdly, lowering one’s gaze strengthens the heart and makes it happy
He inherits the sincere erudition with which he is distinguished
Between truth and falsehood, truthful and false
Fourthly, it gives the heart steadfastness, courage and strength
So God combines the power of insight and argument for him
And the authority of power and strength
Fifthly, it divides the heart to think about its interests and work on them
Instead of letting the sight distract him from all that
It causes him to fall into oblivion
Secondly and finally
Lowering one's gaze protects the heart from Satan's poisoned arrows directed at it
The devil enters his whispers into the heart with a forbidden look
It penetrates faster than the air in an empty place
It represents to him the image he sees
He decorates it in his mind
And he promises him and wishes him
It inflames his heart and distracts him from obedience
The excesses of the Sufis in the actions of the hearts
The righteous predecessors, may God be pleased with them, also took care of hearts, their deeds and their conditions
Sufis also took care of this
But they exaggerated it beyond the limits of the Qur’an and Sunnah
In describing and detailing the actions of the hearts
They went astray in that field and went astray from where they sought guidance
You can hardly find any work of the heart
Except that they have misguidance and deviation in it
Firstly, they are misled into contentment
Where they exceeded the limit in being satisfied with God’s will and destiny
They confused God's universal will with His legal will
They believed that it was necessary to accept disbelief, immorality, and disobedience
Under the pretext that if satisfaction with it was not required, it would not have occurred in the universe
So they fell into pure algebra
Under the guise of their phrases they are so mysteriously expensive
Like witnesses to universal truth
And gaining insight into God’s secret in destiny
Secondly, their misguidance in the love of God
Their glorification of it led to contempt for both fear and hope
I mean fear of God Almighty and His torment
And the hope of His Paradise and His reward
They considered this to be the weakest position for those seeking God
They claimed that worshiping God is for Himself only
Neither out of greed for His Paradise nor fear of His Hell
They made the pinnacle of love the annihilation of the beloved
According to them, it is specific to the saints of God only
Their status among them is higher than that of the prophets
Because of this misguidance of their love
The predecessors said about them
Whoever worships God with love alone is a heretic
The correct thing is to worship God
With love, fear and hope
Thirdly, their misguidance in trusting in God
Where they turned trust into cheap trust and begging
They intentionally caused harm to themselves
By leaving them for legitimate reasons and supplication
Which is the greatest and core of worship
In addition to their neglect of the greatest levels of trust
It is trusting in God to establish His religion
And struggle for His sake
And resistance to infidelity and corruption
As was the trust of the prophets, peace be upon them
Fourthly, their misguidance in asceticism
Where they took it away from being a positive heart work
To a negative appearance
They deprived good women of livelihood
They also forbade seeking knowledge
They claimed that whoever engages in it is subject to Sharia law
As for them, they have the truth
Because science leads people to appreciate the world
And he is distracted from the assembly of God
This contradicts asceticism
So they made asceticism poverty and ignorance
They called themselves the poor
