00:14:24.039 For whoever follows the Qur'an, 00:14:24.039 --> 00:14:27.039 it will lead him down into the gardens of Paradise; 00:14:27.039 --> 00:14:30.039 but whoever is pursued by the Qur'an, 00:14:30.039 --> 00:14:32.039 it will strike him in the back of his neck 00:14:32.039 --> 00:14:34.039 and cast him into the Fire." 00:14:34.039 --> 00:14:36.360 Before my death, 00:14:36.360 --> --> 00:17:35.029 Whatever good you have mentioned, 00:17:35.029 --> 00:17:37.029 it is truly found among you, O assembly of the Ansar, 00:17:37.029 --> 00:17:40.029 and you are worthy of it and even more. 00:17:40.029 --> 00:17:43.029 Yet the Arabs will never recognize this leadership 00:17:43.029 --> 00:17:46.029 except for this clan of Quraysh, 00:17:46.029 --> 00:17:49.029 for they are the The delegation of Banu Tamim came to Medina, 00:33:00.799 --> 00:33:07.799 and when they entered the mosque, they called out to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) from behind his private apartments, 00:33:07.799 --> 00:33:13.799 saying, "Come out to us, O Muhammad!" So he came out to them. 00:33:13.799 --> 00:33:21.799 They said, "O Muhammad, we have come to engage in a contest of glory with you, so grant permission to our poet and orator." 00:33:21.799 --> 00:33:26.900 He said, "I have given permission to your orator, so let him stand." 00:33:26.900 --> 00:33:33.930 Their orator stood up, boasting and delivering a speech to the people, speaking eloquently, then sat down. 00:33:34.930 --> 00:33:41.960 Then the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said to me, "Stand up and reply." So I stood up 00:33:41.960 --> 00:33:47.960 and delivered a sermon in the presence of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and the people, 00:33:47.960 --> 00:33:52.960 extolling the status of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and the Muslims. 00:33:52.960 --> 00:33:59.150 Then their poet stood up and recited verses of pride, 00:33:59.150 --> 00:34:06.220 so the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Stand up, O Hassan, and reply." 00:34:06.220 --> 00:34:11.280 Hassan ibn Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up and answered him. 00:34:11.280 --> 00:34:17.280 The chieftain of the delegation then said, "By Allah, his orator is more eloquent than our orator, 00:34:17.280 --> 00:34:21.280 and his poet is a better poet than ours!" 00:34:21.280 --> 00:34:27.280 Thus they embraced Islam, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) gave them generous gifts. 00:34:27.280 --> 00:34:34.300 And when there was revealed to the Prophet (peace be upon him) His words, the Exalted: 00:34:34.300 --> 00:34:48.300 “O ye who believe!
