In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
“Is he who payeth adoration in the watches of the night, prostrate and standing, bewaring of the Hereafter and hoping for the mercy of his Lord, (to be accounted equal with a disbeliever)? Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Are those who know equal with those who know not? But only men of understanding will pay heed.” (39:9)
The Splendor of Knowledge according to the Wise.

May Allah preserve him, for he is more beautiful than the two moons.
Imam Ibn Al Qayyim, may Allah have mercy on him, said:
He who passed away in the year 751 AH.
If knowledge were to take a physical form, it would be more beautiful than the sun and the moon.
Its sound, its voice, and its fragrance—
Are more beautiful than all gardens, luxuries, and riches.
So how much more so would its image, its appearance, and its splendor be?
It would certainly be more radiant than the sun and the moon,
And sweeter than the finest plantations and the roses of beauty,
And the dew upon the branches.
It is sacred knowledge, pure wisdom, and a lofty station,
And a magnificent, shimmering prestige.
This image becomes even more delightful when it is embodied by a sincere scholar and a vibrant student,
And a divine stance that adds purity and goodness to the image,
Bestowing upon it love and brilliance.
At that point, it will surpass all other images,
And transcend all forms of beauty,
Becoming the subject of conversation in gatherings and assemblies.
It is knowledge that has revealed itself to the people,
Emerging from its hidden depths,
And adorning itself after a long absence.
So if you yearn for this image and its brilliant glimmer,
Then strive to be among its people,
And contribute so that you may attain its bounty.
Perhaps one day you will become a magnificent portrait,
So that people may see the exemplary scholar,
The noble sheikh,
The eloquent speaker,
And the flowing stream of wisdom.
