A Summary of the Concepts of Ahl al-Sunnah
Manifestations of Chest Constriction Regarding What is in the Qur'an
First, the belief that it is insufficient for knowing the truth
And that it necessitates adding other concepts and opinions
Second, and a greater constriction than that
The belief that it contains that which contradicts sound reason
Third, the claim that no knowledge or certainty can be derived from its verses
Fourth, the claim that it is a general address
That deceives the common people, who do not benefit from it
Without that being reality
Fifth, the claim that what it contains regarding the Oneness of Names and Attributes
Is merely metaphorical and allegorical, not realities
Sixth, the constriction of the oppressor, the transgressor, and the one driven by desire
From the verses that stand between him and his desires
Seventh, the constriction of the innovator from the verses that contradict and refute his innovation
