We have sent unto you a messenger as witness against you, even as We sent unto Pharaoh a messenger.” (73:15) 00:04:20.339 --> 00:04:27.339 “But Pharaoh rebelled against the messenger, whereupon We seized him with no gentle grip.” (73:16) 00:04:28.949 --> 00:04:33.949 Indeed, We have sent to you, O people, a Messenger as a witness over you. 00:04:33.949 --> 00:04:40.949 Regarding the response of those among you who accepted my call, and the refusal of those who rejected it. 00:04:40.949 --> 00:04:43.949 On the day you meet Me in the Resurrection. 00:04:43.949 --> 00:04:50.019 Just as We sent before you to Pharaoh of Egypt a Messenger, calling him to the truth. 00:04:50.019 --> 00:04:54.019 But Pharaoh disobeyed the Messenger whom We sent to him. 00:04:54.019 --> 00:05:00.620 So We seized him with a severe seizure and destroyed him and all those with him. 00:05:00.620 --> 00:05:09.620 “Then how, if ye disbelieve, will ye protect yourselves upon the day which will turn children grey,” (73:17) 00:05:09.620 --> 00:05:19.620 “The very heaven being then rent asunder. His promise is to be fulfilled.” (73:18) 00:05:19.620 --> 00:05:28.360 So how will you fear, O people, a Day that will make children grey-headed, if you disbelieve in Allah and do not believe in Him? 00:05:28.360 --> 00:05:34.360 The heaven will be burdened by that Day, splitting and cracking. 00:05:34.360 --> 00:05:41.360 What Allah has promised to do will surely come to pass, for He does not break His promise. 00:05:41.360 --> 00:05:53.670 Indeed, this is a reminder, so whoever wills, let him take a path to his Lord. 00:05:53.670 --> 00:06:00.470 Indeed, these verses in which the matter of the Resurrection and its terrors are mentioned. 00:06:00.470 --> 00:06:07.470 And what He will do therein to the people of disbelief, are a lesson and an admonition for whoever takes heed and is warned. 00:06:07.470 --> 00:06:13.470 So whoever wills, let him take a path to his Lord through belief in Him and obedience to Him. 00:06:13.470 --> 00:06:33.370 “Lo! thy Lord knoweth how thou keepest vigil sometimes nearly two-thirds of the night, or (sometimes) half or a third thereof, as do a party of those with thee. Allah measureth the night and the day. He knoweth that ye count it not, and turneth unto you in mercy. Recite, then, of the Qur'an that which is easy for you. He knoweth that there are sick folk among you, while others travel in the land in search of Allah's bounty, and others (still) are fighting for the cause of Allah. So recite of it that which is easy (for you), and establish worship and pay the poor-due, and (so) lend unto Allah a goodly loan. Whatsoever good ye send before you for your souls, ye will find it with Allah, better and greater in the recompense. And seek forgiveness of Allah. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.” (73:20) 00:07:36.370 --> 00:07:45.389 And seek the forgiveness of Allah; indeed, Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. 00:07:45.389 --> 00:08:00.350 Indeed, your Lord, O Muhammad, knows that you stand in prayer for nearly two-thirds of the night, or half of it, or a third of it, along with a group of the companions of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him. 00:08:00.350 --> 00:08:10.379 Those who were believers in Allah when the night prayer was made obligatory upon them, and Allah measures the night and the day by hours and times. 00:08:10.379 --> 00:08:21.379 Your Lord knew that you would not be able to sustain it, so He turned to you in forgiveness when you were unable and weak, and He returned to you with leniency. 00:08:21.379 --> 00:08:26.379 So recite from the night what is easy for you of the Qur'an in your prayer. 00:08:26.379 --> 00:08:35.450 Your Lord knew, O believers, that there would be among you those who are ill, whom sickness has weakened from standing in prayer at night. 00:08:35.450 --> 00:08:41.450 And others traveling through the land, seeking the bounty of Allah through trade. 00:08:41.450 --> 00:08:47.450 They have traveled to seek their livelihood, which has exhausted and weakened them from the night prayer. 00:08:47.450 --> 00:08:54.450 And others among you fighting in the way of Allah, battling the enemy to support the religion of Allah. 00:08:54.450 --> 00:09:01.450 So Allah had mercy on you and lightened your burden, and removed the obligation of the night prayer. 00:09:01.450 --> 00:09:08.450 So recite now, since it has been lightened for you, what is easy of the Qur'an in your prayer. 00:09:08.450 --> 00:09:13.450 And establish the obligatory prayers, which are the five prayers during the day and night. 00:09:13.450 --> 00:09:17.450 And give the obligatory zakat from your wealth to those entitled to it. 00:09:17.450 --> 00:09:21.450 And spend in the way of Allah from your wealth. 00:09:21.450 --> 00:09:26.450 And whatever you send forth, O believers, for yourselves in this worldly life. 00:09:26.450 --> 00:09:31.450 Of charity or expenditure that you spend in the way of Allah. 00:09:31.450 --> 00:09:35.450 Or other than that of expenditure in the avenues of good. 00:09:35.450 --> 00:09:39.450 Or acts of obedience to Allah, such as prayer, fasting, or Hajj. 00:09:39.450 --> 00:09:44.450 Or other such good deeds in seeking what is with Allah. 00:09:44.450 --> 00:09:48.450 You will find it with Allah on the Day of Resurrection in your place of return. 00:09:48.450 --> 00:09:54.450 It is better for you than what you sent forth in the world, and greater in reward. 00:09:54.450 --> 00:09:59.450 And ask Allah for the forgiveness of your sins through His pardon for you. 00:09:59.450 --> 00:10:04.450 Indeed, Allah is Possessor of forgiveness for the sins of those among His servants who repent. 00:10:04.450 --> 00:10:10.450 And He is Merciful, not punishing them for their sins after they have repented from them.
