Verse and interpretation God Almighty said But God bears witness to what was revealed to you He sent it down with His knowledge and the angels bear witness God is sufficient as a witness With us, He revealed it with His knowledge That is, this book is the Qur’an It contains the knowledge of God, which He wanted to introduce into worship In it are clear proofs, guidance, and the Criterion It contains what God loves and is pleased with What he hates and rejects It contains knowledge of the unseen from the past and the future It contains mention of God's holy attributes What neither a sent prophet nor a close angel knows Unless God knows it As God Almighty said They do not comprehend any of His knowledge except what He wills And he said They do not take note of it On the authority of Ata’ bin Al-Sa’ib, he said: Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Sulami taught me the Qur’an Whenever one of us recited the Qur’an to him, Abu Abd al-Rahman used to recite the Qur’an to him He told him You have received God's knowledge No one is better than you except by work Then he reads But God bears witness to what was revealed to you He sent it down with His knowledge and the angels bear witness God is sufficient as a witness And the meaning The memorizer of the Qur’an is the one who knows it I know the best people No one is better than him Except for those who combine this knowledge Hard work Whoever increases the work Increased in credit We ask God for His grace Interpretation of Ibn Kathir
