The Enduring Good Deeds.
The Deeds Most Beloved to Allah.
On the authority of 'Abdullah Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), who said:
I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), "Which deed is most beloved to Allah?"
He replied, "Prayer at its appointed time."
He asked, "Then which?"
He replied, "Then dutifulness to parents."
He asked, "Then which?"
He replied, "Jihad in the cause of Allah."
He said, "He told me of these, and had I asked him for more, he would have told me more."
Narrated by al-Bukhari.
