Summary of Sunni concepts When does a Qur’anic verse indicate a divine Sunnah? There are methods and tools by which to know the significance of some verses of the Qur’an that indicate that the matter mentioned in them is one of God’s laws Firstly, it is stated in the verse itself or following it that the aforementioned matter is one of the laws of God, as the Almighty says The Sunnah of God, which has passed away before, and you will not find any change in the Sunnah of God Secondly, the aforementioned Sunnah should be issued with the word “same” as in the Almighty’s saying And thus We placed in every town its worst criminals to plot in it Or the phrase “the words of God” or “our word” appears in the verse, such as the words of God Almighty Messengers before you were denied, but they were patient in what they were denied and harmed until Our victory came to them There is no altering the words of God, and indeed the news of the messengers has come to you And the Almighty said Our word to our messenged servants has preceded that they will be helped, and if We recruit them, they will be victorious Thirdly, the verse should follow the path of general description and absolute law As God Almighty says, “God does not change the condition of a people until He changes what is in themselves.” Summary of Sunni concepts
