In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
The life of the predecessors between words and deeds
The approach and belief of the righteous predecessors
As for the most prominent characteristics of the righteous predecessors, their beliefs and their approach
Firstly, their source of belief
It is the book of God
And the correct Sunnah of His Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace
The consensus of the Companions, may God be pleased with them
Follow them and follow them
And the respected scholars, may God have mercy on them all
Therefore, if they lead to God and His Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace
With submission and acceptance, outwardly and inwardly
They do not oppose anything from the Qur’an or the authentic Sunnah
With measure and taste
There is no revelation or the words of a sheikh or an imam
And so on
Secondly
They believe that everything that is authentic is from the Sunnah of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
It must be accepted and acted upon
Even if they are united in beliefs and other things
In doing so, they apply the words of God Almighty
O you who have believed, respond to God and the Messenger when he calls you to give you life
Third
They believe that the reference is in understanding the Qur’an and Sunnah
It is the texts that explain it
And understanding the companions and followers
And those of the imams who followed their approach
Fourth
They believe that the origins of religion are all
The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, explained it
No one may say anything claiming that it is part of religion
Fifth
They believe that clear reason agrees with the correct transmission
Two of them never contradict each other
When there is an illusion of conflict, they offer transfer
They do not submit their minds to the law of their Lord
And the Sunnah of their Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
Because of their certainty that the revelation is not afflicted with defects or imperfections
Unlike the mind, which is plagued by delusion and disorder
Misguidance and forgetfulness
Sixth
They believe that infallibility is established for the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace
The nation as a whole is immune from coming together astray
As for its single ones
There is no infallibility for any of them
And what the nation and others disagreed about
Its reference is to the Qur’an and Sunnah
What the evidence was based on before
With apologies to the one who made the mistake, from the nation’s diligent person
Seventh
The righteous predecessors believe that a good vision is true
Provided that it agrees with Sharia law
It is not a source of doctrine or legislation
Eighth
The righteous predecessors condemn hypocrisy in religion
They see argument as good
Following the example of the Almighty’s saying
And do not argue with the People of the Book except in a way that is best
Except those who were wronged among them
Ninth
The righteous predecessors believed
Every innovation in religion is an innovation
Every innovation is misguidance
And every error is in Hell
In doing so, they take the words of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
The best hadith is the Book of God
The best guidance is Muhammad
The worst things are those that are newly invented
Every innovation is misguidance
Tenth
The righteous predecessors associate knowledge with action
If they know something good, they do it
If they hear the truth, they apply it
If they utter a word, they implement it
In accordance with what God Almighty says
So give glad tidings to my servants who listen to what is said and follow good deeds
Those whom God has guided
And those are people of understanding
For all of this, they lived their lives with the best words and the most beautiful deeds
We have the right to know their conditions and behavior
So we follow and are guided by it
Hence the title of this book
