In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Tasians
These are the verses of the clear book
Taseen meem
These are the verses that were revealed to Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, in this Surah
For the verses of the Book that had been revealed to him before
Which is clear to those who contemplate it with understanding and think about it with reason
It is from God
Perhaps you fear that they will not be believers
Perhaps you, O Muhammad, will kill and destroy your soul if your people do not believe in you
If He wills, We will send down upon them signs from heaven, and their necks will remain submissive to them
If He wills, We will send down to them signs from heaven
Their necks remained subservient to the sign that God was sending down to them
And no newly-initiated remembrance from the Most Gracious comes to them but they turn away from it
And what reminders and warnings come to these polytheists of what God is speaking to you
And He reveals it to you so that you may remind them of it
Unless they turned away from listening to him
They have lied, so news will come to them of what they used to mock
O Muhammad, these polytheists have denied the remembrance that came to them from God
News of the matter they were mocking will come to them
This is a promise from God to them that He will punish them for their persistence in disbelief
Have they not seen the earth how many of every noble pair We have produced therein?
Have these disbelieving polytheists not seen the resurrection and publication on earth?
How much We grew in her after she was dead from every good husband
Indeed, in that is a sign, but most of them were not believers
Indeed, your Lord is Almighty, Most Merciful
In our plants on earth there is every generous pair
As a sign for these polytheists who deny the resurrection
And most of these people denied the resurrection
They will believe you in what you bring to them from God in the form of remembrance
Indeed, your Lord, O Muhammad, is the Mighty in His vengeance
The One who has mercy on those who repent
And when your Lord called to Moses, “You have commanded the wrongdoing people.”
Don't Pharaoh's people fear God?
He said, “My Lord, I fear that they will lie.”
My chest feels tight and my tongue does not loosen up, so I send for Aaron
They have committed a sin against me, so I fear that they will be killed
And remember, O Muhammad, when your Lord called to Moses
Have you seen the disbelieving people, the people of Pharaoh?
Do they not fear God’s punishment for their disbelief in Him?
Musa said
My Lord, I fear that the people of Pharaoh, whom you commanded me to go to, will lie
My heart is distressed by their denial of me if they lie to me
My tongue cannot utter the words of what you send me to them
Because of the reason that was on his tongue
So he sent to Aaron
And Pharaoh's people have a claim against me for a sin that I have committed against them
I fear that they will kill me for the sake of the soul that I killed among them
He said no
So go with Our signs. We are with you, listening
So come, O Pharaoh, and say, “We are the messenger of the Lord of the worlds.”
To send the children of Israel with us
God said
Nope
Pharaoh's people will not kill you
So go, you and your brother, with our knowledge and arguments that we have given you
We are with you, listening to what they tell you and answering you with it
So come you, O Moses, and your brother Aaron, Pharaoh
So say, “We are the messenger of the Lord of the worlds to you.”
To send the children of Israel with us
He said: Did we not raise you as a child among us, and did you remain among us for years of your life?
And you did what you did while you were one of the disbelievers
Pharaoh said
Did we not confuse you, O Moses, as a child?
You stayed with us for years
And the soul that was killed among us was killed
And you are among the disbelievers because of My blessings upon you and My upbringing for you
He said: I did it, then I am one of the wrongdoers
So I fled from you when I feared you, so my Lord granted me wisdom
So my Lord granted me wisdom and made me one of the messengers
Moses said to Pharaoh
I killed that soul that was killed and I was one of the ignorant
Before I received a revelation from God prohibiting me from killing him
Then the people of Pharaoh's people fled from you
Why did I fear you would kill me?
So my Lord granted me prophecy and added me to the number of those whom He sent to His creation to convey His message
And you raised me
And he left you to enslave me just as you enslaved the children of Israel
Yes, it is a blessing from you that you truly wished upon me
If you worship people and leave me and do not enslave me
Pharaoh said: What is the Lord of the worlds?
The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them said, “If you are certain.”
Pharaoh said: What is the Lord of the Worlds?
Moses said: He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and the Owner of anything between them
If you are certain that what you see is as you see it
Likewise, they were certain that our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them
He told those around him not to listen
Your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers said
Pharaoh said to those of his people around him
Don't you listen to what Moses says?
Moses said, “I have called you to him and to worship him.”
Your Lord who created you and the Lord of your first fathers
He said: Your messenger who was sent to you is crazy
The Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them said, “If you understand.”
Pharaoh said
This messenger of yours who claims to have been sent to you is out of his mind
Because he says something we do not know or understand
Moses said, “Whom I invite you and Pharaoh to worship.”
The king of the rising of the sun and its setting and everything in between
If you have minds with which you can understand what is said to you
He said: If you take a god other than me, I will make you one of the prisoners
He said, "Have I brought you something clear?"
He said, "Bring it if you are truthful."
Pharaoh said
If you acknowledge that there is an equal idol, I will imprison you with those of his family in prison
Moses said to Pharaoh
Have I not brought you anything that will show you the truth of what I say, O Pharaoh?
And the truth is what I am calling you to
Pharaoh said to him
So bring the clear truth of what you say
If you are right in what you say
So he threw his stick and it was the snake of the two prophets
He removed his hand and it was white to the onlookers
So Moses threw his staff and it turned into a snake
He explains to Pharaoh and the leaders of his people that he is a snake
Moses took his hand out of his pocket
If it is white, it shines for whoever looks at it and sees it
He told the people around him that this is a knowledgeable magician
He wants to expel you from your land with his magic, so what do you command?
Pharaoh said to the nobles of his people who were around him
Moses bewitched his staff until it turned into a snake
He has knowledge and insight into magic
He wants to expel the children of Israel from your land to the Levant by subjugating you with magic
So what do you order regarding the matter of Moses and what opinion do you advise regarding it?
They said, “Send him and his brother back and send them to Al-Mada’in.”
They will come to you with every knowledgeable magician
Then the people around him answered, “Delay Moses and his brother and see.”
And He sent to your lands and the cities of Egypt to gather against you every magician who knows magic
So the magicians gathered for the appointed time of a known day
People were told: Are you gathered together?
Perhaps we will follow the magicians if they are the ones who prevail
So the gatherers who were sent by Pharaoh gathered to gather the magicians
For a time, Pharaoh prepared for Moses a meeting with him on a known day
That is the day of adornment and that the people will be gathered to sacrifice
People were asked: Are you gathered to see what the two groups are doing?
Who will have the upper hand - Moses or the magicians?
So that we may follow the magicians if they were the ones who defeated Moses
When the magicians came, they said to Pharaoh, “Indeed, there is a reward for us.”
They said to Pharaoh, “Indeed, we will have a reward if we are the victors.”
He said: Yes, and indeed you are among those who are close
When the magicians came, they said to Pharaoh, “Indeed, we will be rewarded for our magic before you.”
If we are the victors, Moses
Pharaoh said to them, “Yes, you will be rewarded for that.”
Then you are among those close to us
Moses said to them: Throw what you throw
So they threw down their ropes and their staffs and said, “By the might of Pharaoh, we will be the victors.”
Moses said to them, “Throw down whatever ropes and sticks you throw.”
They dropped their ropes and sticks from their hands
They swore by the strength of Pharaoh, the strength of his authority, and the invincibility of his kingdom
It is we who overcome Moses
So Moses threw his staff, and it caught what they thought
So the magicians fell prostrate
They said, “We believe in the Lord of the Worlds.”
Lord of Moses and Aaron
So Moses threw his staff when the magicians threw their ropes and sticks
If he disobeyed Moses, he would be disdained by the slander and magic that had no truth
But it is a fantasy and a trick
When the magicians realized that what Moses had brought to them was truth and not magic
And it is something that no one but God can do
Who created the heavens and the earth without any origin
They bowed down on their faces, prostrating to God
Submitting to Him in obedience
Confirming to Moses that what he had given them from God was the truth
Saying
We believed in the Lord of the Worlds, whom Moses called us to worship instead of Pharaoh and his rulers
Lord of Moses and Aaron
He said, “You believed in him before I gave you permission.”
Indeed, it is your elder who taught you magicians, so you will learn
I will cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and I will crucify you all
Pharaoh said to those who were his magicians, “Believe.”
You believed in Moses that what he brought was true before I gave you permission to believe in it
Moses is your master of magic and he is the one who taught it to you
When you are punished, you will know the evil of what you have done
If they cut off your hands and feet, you disagree with the cutting off of your hands and feet
And I will crucify you all
They said, “No, we are poor. We are returning to our Lord.”
We hope that our Lord will forgive us our sins if we are the first to believe
The witches said: There is no harm to us, even if you do it to us and crucify us, to our Lord we will return
He rewards us with our patience with your punishment
And our steadfastness in His monotheism and disavowal of disbelief in Him
We hope that our Lord will forgive us for our sins that we committed before we believed in Him
He does not punish us with it
Because we were the first to believe in Moses and believe in what he brought of the Oneness of God
And Pharaoh denied his claim to divinity
