In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.
A Concise Summary of the Prophetic biography.
The beginning of Islam among the Ansar, may Allah be pleased with them.
When Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, willed to manifest His religion,
To honor His Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
And to fulfill the promise He had made to him,
The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, went out during the pilgrimage season,
Just as he used to do every season.
While he was at al-'Aqabah,
He met a group from the Khazraj tribe,
For whom Allah intended goodness.
The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said to them,
"Who are you?"
They replied, "A group from the Khazraj."
The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, then asked,
"Are you allies of the Jews?"
They answered, "Yes."
The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said,
"Will you not sit so that I may speak with you?"
They replied, "Certainly."
So they sat with him,
And he invited them to Allah, the Almighty and Majestic,
Presented Islam to them,
And recited the Qur'an to them.
Among the things Allah had ordained for them regarding Islam
Was that the Jews lived among them in their lands,
And they were people of the Scripture and knowledge,
While the Khazraj were polytheists and idolaters.
The Jews had often gained the upper hand over them in their land,
And whenever there was a dispute between them,
The Jews would say to them,
"A Prophet is about to be sent now, whose time is at hand;
We shall follow him and kill you with his help, just as 'Ad and Iram were destroyed."
So when the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, spoke to
That group,
And invited them to Allah,
They said to one another,
"O my people,
Know, by Allah, that this is the very Prophet the Jews warned you about;
Do not let them reach him before you."
They responded to his invitation,
Believing in him and accepting the Islam he presented to them.
These men from the Khazraj
Were among the wise men of Yathrib,
Exhausted by the civil war that had recently passed,
And whose flames were still burning.
They hoped that his message, peace be upon him, would be the cause of ending the war.
They said to the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him,
"We have left our people,
And there is no tribe more divided by enmity and evil than they are.
Perhaps Allah will unite them through you.
We shall return to them,
Invite them to your cause,
And present to them this religion which we have accepted from you.
If Allah unites them upon it,
Then there will be no man more honored than you."
Then they departed from the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him,
Returning to their lands,
Having believed and affirmed the truth.
The names of this noble group of the Khazraj,
May Allah be pleased with them.
This noble group consisted of six men from the Khazraj,
As mentioned by Ibn Ishaq,
And they were from the Banu al-Najjar:
As'ad Ibn Zurarah, may Allah be pleased with him,
And 'Awf Ibn al-Harith, may Allah be pleased with him,
Who is the son of 'Afra',
Which was his mother's name.
From the Banu Zurayq:
Rafi' Ibn Malik Ibn al-'Ajlan,
May Allah be pleased with him.
From the Banu Salamah:
Qutbah Ibn 'Amir, may Allah be pleased with him.
From the Banu Haram Ibn Ka'b:
'Uqbah Ibn 'Amir, may Allah be pleased with him.
And from the Banu 'Ubayd Ibn 'Adi:
Jabir Ibn 'Abd Allah Ibn Ri'ab,
May Allah be pleased with him.
He is not the famous Jabir Ibn 'Abd Allah Ibn 'Amr Ibn Haram,
May Allah be pleased with him,
The well-known one,
Who is one of those who narrated many hadiths from the Prophet, peace be upon him.

If the longing of the worlds for some of their own is long,
The longing for you, O Prophet, has no limit.
May Allah send blessings upon you as long as the call to prayer is raised,
And as long as lips move with the remainder of the remembrance.
