00:01:58.049 its beliefs, its rulings, and its ethics, 00:01:58.049 --> 00:02:03.049 accompanied by a righteous intention, sincere to Allah, the Almighty. 00:02:03.049 --> 00:02:06.079 Imam Ibn al-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy on him, said: 00:02:06.079 --> 00:02:09.080 Correct understanding and good intention 00:02:09.080 --> 00:02:13.080 are among the greatest blessings Allah bestows upon bestowed His favor, 00:02:37.080 --> 00:02:40.080 whose understanding and intentions were good. 00:02:40.080 --> 00:02:43.080 They are the people of the straight path, 00:02:43.080 --> 00:02:49.080 which we are commanded to ask Allah to guide us to in every prayer. 00:02:49.080 --> 00:02:53.080 And correct understanding is a light that Allah casts into the servant's heart, 00:02:53.080 --> 00:02:56.080 by which he distinguishes between the sound and the corrupt, 00:02:56.080 --> 00:02:59.080 and truth and falsehood, guidance and misguidance, 00:02:59.080 --> 00:03:02.080 and error and right direction. 00:03:02.080 --> 00:03:05.080 and it is strengthened by good intention and seeking truth, 00:03:05.080 --> 00:03:08.080 and reverence for the Lord in secret and in public, 00:03:08.080 --> 00:03:11.080 and its source is cut off by following desires, 00:03:11.080 --> 00:03:13.080 and preferring this world, 00:03:13.080 --> 00:03:15.080 and seeking the praise of creation, 00:03:15.080 --> 00:03:17.080 and abandoning piety. 00:03:17.080 --> 00:03:23.180 And when the believer sees what the disbelieving societies, deprived of this blessing, are experiencing, 00:03:23.180 --> 00:03:28.180 and their state of confusion, contradiction, distress, and misery, 00:03:28.180 --> 00:03:31.180 his praise of Allah the Almighty increases, 00:03:31.180 --> 00:03:35.180 and his joy and contentment with what He has bestowed upon him. 00:03:35.180 --> 00:03:42.180 For despite the luxury and apparent worldly knowledge these societies have attained, 00:03:42.180 --> 00:03:47.180 they nevertheless descend and sink to the lowest levels in their understanding, standards, 00:03:47.180 --> 00:03:50.180 and morals. 00:03:50.180 --> 00:03:54.180 This is because they are severed from their connection with Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, 00:03:54.180 --> 00:03:56.180 the Creator of the heavens and the earth, 00:03:56.180 --> 00:03:58.180 the Knower of His creation, 00:03:58.180 --> 00:04:00.180 the Gentle, the All-Aware. 00:04:00.180 --> 00:04:03.180 And they are severed from His straight path, 00:04:03.180 --> 00:04:05.180 and His guidance, 00:04:05.180 --> 00:04:08.180 and His light by which darkness is illuminated, 00:04:08.180 --> 00:04:11.180 and through which the affairs of this world and the Hereafter are rectified. 00:04:11.180 --> 00:04:13.210 And among the Arab state of turmoil and misery. 00:04:39.720 --> 00:04:42.720 So, instead of entering the religion of Islam, 00:04:42.720 --> 00:04:45.720 to enjoy what the Muslims enjoy, 00:04:45.720 --> 00:04:47.720 they became arrogant towards the truth, 00:04:47.720 --> 00:04:52.720 and envied the Muslims for this great blessing from which they were deprived. 00:04:52.720 --> 00:04:57.720 And they exerted their utmost effort to divert them from the concepts of this religion, 00:04:57.720 --> 00:05:02.720 and waged their wars against it, military, ideological, and unethical, 00:05:02.720 --> 00:05:05.720 hoping to turn them away from their religion. 00:05:05.720 --> 00:05:07.720 Allah the Almighty says: 00:05:07.720 --> 00:05:14.720 “Many of the people of the Scripture long to make you disbelievers after your belief, through envy on their own account, after the truth hath become manifest unto them. Forgive and be indulgent (toward them) until Allah give command. Lo! And He is the Subtile, the Aware.” (67:14) 00:07:02.259 --> 00:07:08.259 He is free from all deficiency, safe from injustice, caprice, and ignorance, 00:07:08.259 --> 00:07:12.259 knowing what is beneficial for His servants in their worldly lives and their hereafter. 00:07:12.259 --> 00:07:19.259 He knows what was, what will be, and what would have been if it had occurred, and how it would have been. 00:07:20.360 --> 00:07:29.360 Conversely, the concepts of ignorance originate from this weak human being, limited by time and space, 00:07:29.360 --> 00:07:35.360 the one prone to caprice, ignorance, injustice, and fleeting desires, detached from his Lord and His worship. 00:07:35.360 --> 00:07:41.360 Consequently, his concepts and perceptions are characterized by his own traits, 00:07:41.360 --> 00:07:47.360 namely ignorance, deficiency, injustice, contradiction, confusion, and imbalance. 00:07:47.360 --> 00:07:55.579 Secondly, any concept presented to people is governed by the creed of the one presenting it regarding the Lord of the universe, 00:07:55.579 --> 00:08:02.579 the universe itself, life, humanity, the purpose of their creation, and their destiny after death. 00:08:02.579 --> 00:08:07.579 Every concept is a consequence of this creed or perception, 00:08:07.579 --> 00:08:12.579 and a reflection of it, whether good or bad. 00:08:12.579 --> 00:08:18.680 And since the words of Allah, which falsehood cannot approach from before or behind, 00:08:18.680 --> 00:08:25.680 are what provide us Muslims with understanding and perception of our Lord, the Creator of concepts only emerge from the dregs of their minds and the carvings of their thoughts. 00:08:49.679 --> 00:08:57.679 Thus, they wander in a sea of darkness and ignorance, going astray, suffering, causing others to go astray, and causing suffering. 00:08:57.679 --> 00:09:00.940 Thirdly, and based on the foregoing, 00:09:00.940 --> 00:09:07.940 the third and important difference between Divine concepts and ignorant human concepts 00:09:07.940 --> 00:09:10.940 is the difference between monotheism (Tawhid) and polytheism (Shirk). 00:09:10.940 --> 00:09:16.940 The concepts of one who worships Allah alone, disassociating from Shirk and its adherents, are not equal 00:09:16.940 --> 00:09:21.940 to the concepts of the disbeliever, who is cut off from his Lord, the Almighty, and His law. each has a light by which they see things, events, values, and circumstances. 00:10:14.059 --> 00:10:17.059 One sees the outward appearance of this worldly life, 00:10:17.059 --> 00:10:21.059 while the other perceives the underlying connections and the light beyond the apparent, 00:10:21.059 --> 00:10:25.059 and comprehensive principles for the manifest and the hidden, 00:10:25.059 --> 00:10:27.059 the unseen and the witnessed, 00:10:27.059 --> 00:10:29.059 this world and the hereafter, 00:10:29.059 --> 00:10:31.059 death and life. 00:10:31.059 --> 00:10:34.059 This is the distant, vast, and encompassing horizon 00:10:34.059 --> 00:10:37.059 to which Islam transports humanity, 00:10:37.059 --> 00:10:43.059 elevating it to the station befitting humanity as Allah's vicegerent on Earth. 00:10:43.059 --> 00:10:44.700 Fifth, 00:10:44.700 --> 00:10:51.700 and just as the Muslims' concepts differ and diverge from those of the disbelievers, as previously mentioned, 00:10:51.700 --> 00:12:35.769 Then, one applies one to the other. 00:12:35.769 --> 00:12:39.799 Therefore, for correct understanding to be complete, 00:12:39.799 --> 00:12:41.799 it is necessary to understand the contemporary reality 00:12:41.799 --> 00:12:44.799 and to discern the path of the criminals. 00:12:44.799 --> 00:12:46.799 Otherwise, error in understanding will occur 00:12:46.799 --> 00:12:50.799 due to not verifying the underlying cause and knowing the circumstances. 00:12:50.799 --> 00:12:53.799 And another serious obstacle remains 00:12:53.799 --> 00:12:56.799 that prevents the servant from applying correct understanding, 00:12:56.799 --> 00:13:01.799 namely, desires and prioritizing this world over the hereafter. 00:13:01.799 --> 00:13:04.799 For it may be that the understanding is legally sound and correct, 00:13:04.799 --> 00:13:07.799 and in accordance with the concepts of Ahl al-Sunnah, 00:13:07.799 --> 00:13:09.799 along with fiqh of the reality, 00:13:09.799 --> 00:13:12.799 but due to desire or fear, 00:13:12.799 --> 00:13:16.799 The servant deliberately abandons this correct understanding 00:13:16.799 --> 00:13:19.799 and prioritizes erroneous concepts over it 00:13:19.799 --> 00:13:21.799 and deviant applications. 00:13:21.799 --> 00:13:25.929 We ask Allah for safety and steadfastness upon the truth. 00:13:25.929 --> 00:13:28.929 From the foregoing, the reasons for 00:13:28.929 --> 00:13:32.960 the deviation and divergence of concepts can be summarized as follows: 00:13:32.960 --> 00:13:36.960 First, disbelief or associating partners with Allah, the Almighty. 00:13:36.960 --> 00:13:39.960 This causes wholesale deviations 00:13:39.960 --> 00:13:41.960 in concepts, scales of judgment, 00:13:41.960 --> 00:13:43.960 rulings, and stances, 00:13:43.960 --> 00:13:46.960 because its adherent is cut off from Allah, the Almighty, 00:13:46.960 --> 00:13:49.960 His Lordship, His Divinity, 00:13:49.960 --> 00:13:51.960 and His Names and Attributes, 00:13:51.960 --> 00:13:55.960 and cut off from the Last Day and true belief in it. 00:13:55.960 --> 00:14:01.960 And joining them are the people of heretical innovations that lead to disbelief and excommunication from the fold of Islam. 00:14:01.960 --> 00:14:06.179 Second, heretical innovation that does not lead to disbelief. 00:14:06.179 --> 00:14:09.179 This causes partial deviations 00:14:09.179 --> 00:14:12.179 that reflect on some concepts in creed, 00:14:12.179 --> 00:14:14.179 worship, or conduct, 00:14:14.179 --> 00:14:17.179 even though their adherents are from the people of the Qibla (Muslims), 00:14:17.179 --> 00:14:19.179 and they possess both truth and falsehood. 00:14:19.179 --> 00:14:24.340 Third, ignorance of reality and the path of the criminals. 00:14:24.340 --> 00:14:28.340 Although those characterized by this are from the people of the Sunnah, 00:14:28.340 --> 00:14:32.340 their ignorance reflects in some errors 00:14:32.340 --> 00:14:35.340 and deviations in certain concepts 00:14:35.340 --> 00:14:38.340 due to flaws in applying the rulings. 00:14:38.340 --> 00:14:41.440 Fourth, desires and love of this world. 00:14:42.440 --> 00:14:45.440
