In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. By those ˹angels˺ lined up in ranks, and those who drive away ˹the clouds˺ firmly, and those who recite the reminder, indeed, your God is surely One— “Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all that is between them, and Lord of the sun's risings.” (37:5) “Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets;” (37:6) “With security from every froward devil.” (37:7) “They cannot listen to the Highest Chiefs for they are pelted from every side,” (37:8) driven away, and for them is an enduring punishment— “Save him who snatcheth a fragment, and there pursueth him a piercing flame.” (37:10) “Then ask them (O Muhammad): Are they stronger as a creation, or those (others) whom we have created? Lo! We created them of plastic clay.” (37:11) Indeed, We created them from sticky clay. Rather, you wonder while they mock, “And heed not when they are reminded,” (37:13) “And seek to scoff when they behold a portent.” (37:14) “And they say: Lo! this is mere magic;” (37:15) "When we are dead and have become dust and bones, will we truly be resurrected? Or our forefathers of old?" “Say (O Muhammad): Ye, in truth; and ye will be brought low.” (37:18) “There is but one Shout, and lo! they behold,” (37:19) “And say: Ah, woe for us! This is the Day of Judgment.” (37:20) “This is the Day of Separation, which ye used to deny.” (37:21) ˹It will be said,˺ "Gather those who wronged, along with their spouses and what they used to worship besides Allah, and guide them to the path of Hellfire, and stop them, for they are to be questioned." “What aileth you that ye help not one another?” (37:25) “Nay, but this day they make full submission.” (37:26) And they will approach one another, blaming each other. “They say: Lo! ye used to come unto us, imposing, (swearing that ye spoke the truth).” (37:28) “They answer: Nay, but ye (yourselves) were not believers.” (37:29) “We had no power over you, but ye were wayward folk.” (37:30) “We had no power over you, but ye were wayward folk.” (37:30) “Now the Word of our Lord hath been fulfilled concerning us. Lo! we are about to taste (the doom).” (37:31) "Indeed, we are going to taste it." “Thus we misled you. Lo! we were (ourselves) astray.” (37:32) “Then lo! this day they (both) are sharers in the doom.” (37:33) “Lo! thus deal We with the guilty.” (37:34) “For when it was said unto them, There is no Allah save Allah, they were scornful” (37:35) and saying, "Are we really to abandon our gods for a mad poet?" “Nay, but he brought the Truth, and he confirmed those sent (before him).” (37:37) Indeed, you will surely taste the painful punishment, “Ye are requited naught save what ye did -” (37:39) except the chosen servants of Allah. “For them there is a known provision,” (37:41) fruit, and they will be honored in the Gardens of Delight, facing each other on thrones, “A cup from a gushing spring is brought round for them,” (37:45) white and delicious to those who drink, “Wherein there is no headache nor are they made mad thereby.” (37:47) and with them will be women of restrained glances, with large, beautiful eyes, as if they were delicate, sheltered eggs. “And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning.” (37:50) “A speaker of them saith: Lo! I had a comrade” (37:51) “Who used to say: Art thou in truth of those who put faith (in his words)?” (37:52) “Can we, when we are dead and have become mere dust and bones - can we (then) verily be brought to book?” (37:53) He will say, "Would you like to look down?" So he will look and see him in the midst of the Hellfire. He will say, "By Allah, you almost ruined me! “And had it not been for the favour of my Lord, I too had been of those haled forth (to doom).” (37:57) Is it really true that we are not going to die, “Saving our former death, and are we not to be punished?” (37:59) “Lo! this is the supreme triumph.” (37:60) “For the like of this, then, let the workers work.” (37:61) Is this ˹bliss˺ a better hospitality or the tree of Zaqqum? “Lo! We have appointed it a torment for wrong-doers.” (37:63) “Lo! it is a tree that springeth in the heart of hell.” (37:64) “Its crop is as it were the heads of devils” (37:65) “And lo! they verily must eat thereof, and fill (their) bellies therewith.” (37:66) “And afterward, lo! thereupon they have a drink of boiling water” (37:67) “And afterward, lo! their return is surely unto hell.” (37:68) Indeed, they found their forefathers astray, “But they make haste (to follow) in their footsteps.” (37:70) “And verily most of the men of old went astray before them,” (37:71) “And verily We sent among them warners.” (37:72) So see how the end of those who were warned turned out, except the chosen servants of Allah. And Noah certainly called upon Us, and how excellent were the responders! “And We saved him and his household from the great distress,” (37:76) “And made his seed the survivors,” (37:77) and We preserved his favorable mention among later generations: “Peace be unto Noah among the peoples!” (37:79) Indeed, thus do We reward the doers of good. Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. Then We drowned the others. “And lo! of his persuasion verily was Abraham” (37:83) “When he came unto his Lord with a whole heart;” (37:84) “When he said unto his father and his folk: What is it that ye worship?” (37:85) “Is it a falsehood - gods beside Allah - that ye desire?” (37:86) “What then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds?” (37:87) “And he glanced a glance at the stars” (37:88) Then he said, "Indeed, I am sick." So they turned away from him, departing. “Then turned he to their gods and said: Will ye not eat?” (37:91) “What aileth you that ye speak not?” (37:92) “Then he attacked them, striking with his right hand.” (37:93) So they came hastening toward him. He said, "Do you worship what you carve, “When Allah hath created you and what ye make?” (37:96) “They said: Build for him a building and fling him in the red-hotfire.” (37:97) “And they designed a snare for him, but We made them the undermost.” (37:98) “And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me.” (37:99) “My Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous.” (37:100) So We gave him glad tidings of a forbearing boy. “And when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou? He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing, thou shalt find me of the steadfast.” (37:102) “And when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou? He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing, thou shalt find me of the steadfast.” (37:102) He said, "O my father, do what you are commanded; “And when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou? He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing, thou shalt find me of the steadfast.” (37:102) “Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face,” (37:103) “We called unto him: O Abraham!” (37:104) "You have indeed fulfilled the vision." Indeed, thus do We reward the doers of good. Indeed, this was truly a clear trial. And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice, and We preserved his favorable mention among later generations: "Peace be upon Abraham." Thus do We reward the doers of good. Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. “And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous.” (37:112) “And We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves.” (37:113) “And We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves.” (37:113) “And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron,” (37:114) “And saved them and their people from the great distress,” (37:115) and We supported them, so it was they who became victorious. And We gave them the clear Book, and We guided them to the straight path, “And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation):” (37:119) “Peace be unto Moses and Aaron!” (37:120) Indeed, thus do We reward the doers of good. “Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves.” (37:122) “And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn),” (37:123) “When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)?” (37:124) “Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators,” (37:125) Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers of old?" But they denied him, so they will certainly be brought ˹for punishment˺, except the chosen servants of Allah. And We preserved his favorable mention among later generations: "Peace be upon Elias." Indeed, thus do We reward the doers of good. Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. And Lot was indeed one of the messengers, “When We saved him and his household, every one,” (37:134) except an old woman among those who remained behind. Then We destroyed the others. “And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning” (37:137) and at night. Will you not then understand? “And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn)” (37:139) “When he fled unto the laden ship,” (37:140) Then he drew lots and was among the losers. “And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy;” (37:142) “And had he not been one of those who glorify (Allah)” (37:143) “He would have tarried in its belly till the day when they are raised;” (37:144) “Then We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick;” (37:145) “And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him;” (37:146) “And We sent him to a hundred thousand (folk) or more” (37:147) “And they believed, therefor We gave them comfort for a while.” (37:148) So ask them, "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons?" “Or created We the angels females while they were present?” (37:150) “Lo! it is of their falsehood that they say:” (37:151) “Allah hath begotten. Allah! verily they tell a lie.” (37:152) Has He chosen daughters over sons? What is the matter with you? How do you judge? Will you not then remember? “Or have ye a clear warrant?” (37:156) Then bring your scripture, if you are truthful! “And they imagine kinship between him and the jinn, whereas the jinn know well that they will be brought before (Him).” (37:158) “And they imagine kinship between him and the jinn, whereas the jinn know well that they will be brought before (Him).” (37:158) Exalted is Allah far above what they describe, except the chosen servants of Allah. So indeed, you and whatever you worship “Ye cannot excite (anyone) against Him.” (37:162) “Save him who is to burn in hell.” (37:163) “There is not one of us but hath his known position.” (37:164) "And indeed, we are those who line up in ranks, and indeed, we are those who glorify ˹Allah˺." And indeed, they used to say, “If we had but a reminder from the men of old” (37:168) “We would be single-minded slaves of Allah.” (37:169) “Yet (now that it is come) they disbelieve therein; but they will come to know.” (37:170) “And verily Our word went forth of old unto Our bondmen sent (to warn)” (37:171) that they would surely be the ones aided, “And that Our host, they verily would be the victors.” (37:173) “So withdraw from them (O Muhammad) awhile,” (37:174) And watch them, for they will see. Do they then seek to hasten Our punishment? “But when it cometh home to them, then it will be a hapless morn for those who have been warned.” (37:177) “Withdraw from them awhile” (37:178) And watch, for they will see. “Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him)” (37:180) And peace be upon the messengers, and praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
