God Almighty said
And thus We made you a moderate nation, so that you may be witnesses over the people
Moderation is a prominent feature of this religion in all its chapters
Because it is from God Almighty, the All-Knowing, the All-Aware
Legal moderation means justice, choice, and balance between extremes of excess and negligence
The people of Islam are intermediate in monotheism and the messengers, between the extremism of the Christians and the harshness of the Jews
Ahl al-Sunnah is a middle ground between the extreme and the dry among the people of innovation
They are intermediate in the chapters of faith and disbelief between the Khawarij and the Murji’ah
In the chapters on attributes, it is intermediate between the negatives and the suspicious ones
The same applies to the rest of the chapters on belief, morals, and acts of worship
In short, the concept of moderation in Islam means adherence to the command of God
