A Summary of the Concepts of Ahl al-Sunnah
The realization of social Sunnahs has conditions and impediments.
When the conditions are met and the impediments are absent, the Sunnah will occur by Allah's permission.
For the Sunnah of victory and empowerment, the realization of faith is a prerequisite.
"And you shall be superior, if you are believers."
And Allah, the Almighty, said: "And it was ever incumbent upon Us to help the believers."
And what prevents its realization is dissension among the believers.
Allah, the Almighty, said in the context of striving against the disbelievers:
“And obey Allah and His messenger, and dispute not one with another lest ye falter and your strength depart from you; but be steadfast! Lo! Allah is with the steadfast.” (8:46)
Likewise, the Sunnah of punishment is prevented by seeking forgiveness.
Allah, the Almighty, said: "But Allah would not punish them while you are among them."
“But Allah would not punish them while thou wast with them, nor will He punish them while they seek forgiveness.” (8:33)
