In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.
A Concise Summary of the Prophetic biography (Seerah).

May Allah preserve him.
The arrival of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, at the wells of Badr.
The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, marched with his army toward the wells of Badr.
To reach them before the polytheists.
And to prevent them from seizing control of them.
So the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, and his Companions encamped at the best of the wells of Badr.
Imam Ahmad narrated in his Musnad with an authentic chain of narration.
On the authority of Ali Ibn Abi Talib, may Allah be pleased with him, who said:
The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, marched to Badr, and Badr was a well.
We reached it before the polytheists.
The rainfall upon both parties.
Allah, Glory be to Him, intervened between the Quraysh and the water.
By means of a great rain He sent down.
It was a source of affliction for the disbelievers.
And a blessing for the Muslims.
It leveled the ground for them and firmed it.
Allah the Almighty said:
“When He made the slumber fall upon you as a reassurance from him and sent down water from the sky upon you, that thereby He might purify you, and remove from you the fear of Satan, and make strong your hearts and firm (your) feet thereby.” (8:11)

To purify you thereby.

And to strengthen your hearts.
And to plant your feet firmly therewith.
Imam Ibn al-Qayyim said:
Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, sent down a single rain that night.
It was a heavy downpour upon the polytheists that prevented them from advancing.
And it was a light drizzle upon the Muslims.
He purified them with it and removed from them the impurity of Satan.
He leveled the ground with it and hardened the sand.
And made their feet firm.
And prepared the campsite with it.
And strengthened their hearts with it.
The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, and the Muslims reached the water first.
They encamped there in the middle of the night and constructed basins.
Then they filled in all the other wells.
The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, and his Companions settled by the basins.
The construction of the shelter and the mobilization of the Muslim army.
A shelter was built for the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, where he could stay on a hill overlooking the battlefield.
The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, stayed in it.
With his companion, Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, may Allah be pleased with him.
On the night of Friday, the seventeenth of Ramadan.
Which was the night of the battle.
The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, began to mobilize his army.
Then he began walking across the battlefield.
He began pointing with his hand, saying, "This is where so-and-so will fall tomorrow."
"And this is where so-and-so will fall tomorrow, if Allah wills."
He placed his hand on the ground here and there.
Anas, may Allah be pleased with him, said:
By Allah, not one of them moved from the spot where the hand of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, had touched.
Meaning, they did not shift or deviate.
In another narration in Sahih Muslim.
On the authority of Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, who said:
By the One who sent him with the truth.
They did not miss the boundaries that the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, had marked.
The descent of slumber and the prayer of the Prophet, peace be upon him.
Slumber overcame the Muslims on the night of Friday.
As a security from Allah.
Allah the Almighty said: "When He covered you with slumber as a security from Him."
So they all slept.
Al-Hafiz Ibn Kathir said:
Allah reminds them of the favor He bestowed upon them.
By casting slumber upon them.
As a security from the fear they felt due to the multitude of their enemy and their own small numbers.

On the authority of Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, who said:
Abu Talhah al-Ansari, may Allah be pleased with him, said:
Slumber overcame us while we were in our ranks on the day of Badr.
Abu Talhah said:
I was among those who were overcome by slumber that day.
My sword kept falling from my hand, and I would pick it up.
It would fall, and I would pick it up.
The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, spent that night.
The night of the Criterion, praying under a tree.
Supplicating to Allah, Glory be to Him and Exalted.
Imam Ahmad narrated in his Musnad with an authentic chain of narration.
On the authority of Ali Ibn Abi Talib, may Allah be pleased with him, who said:
There was no horseman among us on the day of Badr except al-Miqdad.
I saw us, and there was no one among us who was not asleep.
Except the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, who was under a tree, praying and weeping until morning.
Ibn Hibban narrated in his Sahih with a sound chain of narration.
On the authority of Ali Ibn Abi Talib, may Allah be pleased with him, who said:
When the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, reached the morning at Badr the next day.
He had spent that entire night in worship.
The arrival of the polytheist army in the valley of Badr.
When the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, reached the morning.
That was Friday, the seventeenth of Ramadan.
Of the second year of the Hijrah, and it was the Day of the Criterion.
He arranged his Companions, straightened their ranks, and said to them:
"Do not let anyone of you advance toward anything until I give the command."
The Quraysh approached in their battalions.
And began to take their positions on the battlefield.
When the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, saw them, he said:
"O Allah, this is Quraysh."
"They have come with their arrogance and pride."
"To oppose You and call Your Messenger a liar."
"O Allah, grant me the victory You promised me."

The longing of the worlds for one another has grown.
For the longing toward you has no fathomable end.
May Allah send blessings upon you as long as the call to prayer is raised.
And as long as lips move with the remainder of the remembrance.
