Musnad with an authentic chain of transmission On the authority of Ali bin Abi Talib, may God be pleased with him, he said The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, walked to Badr and Badr Bir So the polytheists preceded us to it Rain falls on both teams God Almighty stood between the Quraysh and the water With great rain he sent him It was a curse on the infidels A blessing for Muslims He paved the earth and its land for them God Almighty said When drowsiness overwhelms you, you are safe from it And water falls upon you from the sky To purify you with it The filth of Satan will be removed from you And may it touch your hearts And the feet are fixed with it Imam Ibn al-Qayyim said And God Almighty sent down one rain that night The polytheists were subjected to a heavy barrage that prevented them from advancing And there was a dew on the Muslims Purify them with it and remove the filth of Satan from them He stepped on the ground and hardened the sand And steady the feet He paved the house with it And attach it to their hearts The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the Muslims preceded him to the water So they descended on him for part of the night and made the menstruation Then they drowned the rest of the water The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and his companions descended on menstruation
