I was the commander of the sea, so I invaded the Romans and captured them
One day, a man from the companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, came to me while I was in Egypt
He said, “I did not have a visitor.”
But you and I heard a hadith from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
I hope you have knowledge of him
I said what is it?
He said such and such
So we discussed the conversation
Then he said: Why do I see you disheveled when you are the prince of the earth?
I said that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, forbade us from doing much indulgence
He said: Why don't I see shoes on you?
I said that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to order us to celebrate sometimes
I received a hundred dinars from a man
So he called whoever found it and got twenty dinars
So the one who found it came
He said: This is your money, so give me what you have given me
The man said, “I had one hundred and twenty dinars.”
This is my hundred and twenty dinars. You took it
So they came to me
So I said to the owner of the money
Didn't he have one hundred and twenty dinars, as you remember?
He said yes
And I said to the other: You found a hundred
He said yes
I said, “Then keep the money with you until its owner comes.”
And don't give him anything
It is not his money
One day we went out to invade
I was the prince of the army
While we are walking fast
Someone said:
Prince
People have been cut off
Stand until they catch up with you
We stood on land and next to us was a castle
So we saw a red man with mustaches
Bring it to me
They said that he descended from the fort without a vow
So I asked him
He said that yesterday I ate sow and drank wine
Two men came to me while I was sleeping
So he washed my stomach
Two women came to me
They said, “I am a Muslim.”
I am now a Muslim
He did not complete his word
Until a stone came to him from the fort and hit him
Then he fell asleep and died
I said, “God is great.”
He worked a little and got paid a lot
We prayed over him and then buried him
A man came to me and said:
Recommend me qualities that God will benefit me with
So I told him
If you can know and not know, do so
If you can listen but not speak, do so
If you can sit and he does not sit next to you, do so
