Summary of Sunni concepts
Imitation and from pre-Islamic times is imitation of infidels
The greatest of them is following their opinions and theories that are contrary to God’s law
And God Almighty says
Follow what has been revealed to you from your Lord, and do not follow any friends other than Him
Little do you remember
This does not mean not benefiting from their knowledge in worldly matters in a way that does not contradict Sharia law
It is imitating the infidels
Follow their returns, fees and social customs
And celebrate their holidays
The Commander of the Faithful, Omar bin Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him, forbade the nonsense of foreigners
That is, speaking their language
Imam Ahmed said
Speaking in a language other than Arabic for no reason is hypocrisy
Sheikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said
Similar in appearance
A type of affection, love, and loyalty is inherited internally
Also, love is inside
Outward similarity is inherited
This is something that is attested by sense and experience
This includes imitating Westerners when shaving their beards
And in hair styles
And in the fashions that distract people in this worldly life
It distracts them from caring about important matters
And what enables them to lead the world
