The essence of the concepts of Ahl al-Sunnah
Steadfastness
This is a reciprocal form derived from the root for patience.
so that you are from two parties
The first
The caller, and that is who is intended here.
And the second encompasses
The enemies of the call
from Satan and the soul that incites to evil.
and the enemies who
They lie in wait for the believers.
They strive with all their might
...so that they might weaken their patience.
It is therefore incumbent that it does not run out.
The patience of the believers
Rather, they remain striving.
They are more patient than their enemies and stronger.
It is as if it is
A wager and a race between them.
and between their enemies
They call therein to confronting
The enemies' patience was matched by patience.
Stronger than it.
And responding to an objection with a counter-objection.
The consequence of persistent wrongdoing is persistent retribution.
And the [ultimate] outcome belongs to the righteous.
Allah, the Exalted, says:
O you who have believed
They persevered and were steadfast.
And remain steadfast and fear Allah.
So that you may succeed.
And Allah the Almighty says:
If you are
...as you know, for they
They know as you know.
and what you hope for from Allah
what they do not hope for
