Allah the Exalted says:
“A kind word with forgiveness is better than almsgiving followed by injury. Allah is Absolute, Clement.” (2:263)
And Allah is Free of need and Forbearing.
Muslim recorded in his Sahih:
That the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:
"A good word is a charity."
And among the acts of kindness
Is that you meet your brother with a cheerful face.
Some of the wise have said:
"Receive the one in need with a pleasant countenance;
For even if you lack the means to fulfill his request,
You shall not lack his excuse."
