00:01:27.310 --> 00:01:32.379 So I ask Allah to make us among those who pay attention to such things. 00:01:32.379 --> 00:01:33.379 This is a magnificent verse: 00:01:33.379 --> 00:01:34.379 "The Night." 00:01:34.379 --> 00:01:37.299 As for the second pause, 00:01:37.299 --> 00:01:39.299 it is with what was alluded to 00:01:39.299 --> 00:01:40.299 regarding the reasons for the Surah's revelation. 00:01:40.299 --> 00:01:41.299 And it is the reason 00:01:41.299 --> 00:01:44.459 that shines with the freeing of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq 00:01:44.459 --> 00:01:47.459 of some Companions who were oppressed and tortured. 00:01:47.459 --> 00:01:49.819 So it is mentioned in the reasons for revelation. 00:01:49.819 --> 00:01:52.819 And the reason helps in approximately dating 00:01:52.819 --> 00:01:54.819 the revelation of the latter part of the Surah, 00:01:54.819 --> 00:01:57.819 or perhaps the entire Surah, as it is short, 00:01:57.819 --> 00:02:00.819 but specifically for the latter part of the Surah. 00:02:00.819 --> 00:02:02.819 The period of the believers' oppression. 00:02:02.819 --> 00:02:03.819 When did it begin? 00:02:03.819 --> 00:02:04.819 When did it end? 00:02:04.819 --> 00:02:05.819 When did this persecution occur? 00:02:05.819 --> 00:02:07.819 This entire matter can be a subject of research and consideration. 00:02:07.819 --> 00:02:10.819 And I call upon specialists in the Prophetic biography (Seerah) 00:02:10.819 --> 00:02:13.819 or the Sunnah 00:02:13.819 --> 00:02:14.819 in general 00:02:14.819 --> 00:02:16.139 to pay attention to analyzing such an issue, 00:02:16.139 --> 00:02:19.139 which will help in approximately dating 00:02:19.139 --> 00:02:23.139 many verses of the Noble Qur'an. 00:02:23.139 --> 00:02:27.460 And as for the third and final pause, 00:02:27.460 --> 00:02:29.460 it is with the theme of the Surah. 00:02:29.460 --> 00:02:31.460 The Surah clarifies the diversity of people's endeavors in this world 00:02:31.460 --> 00:02:35.460 and their fate in the Hereafter. 00:02:35.460 --> 00:02:38.030 A wondrous diversity in this world 00:02:38.030 --> 00:02:40.030 and a determined fate in the Hereafter. 00:02:40.030 --> 00:02:44.449 And observe the comprehensiveness within brevity. 00:02:44.449 --> 00:02:47.449 "Indeed, your efforts are diverse." 00:02:47.449 --> 00:02:51.310 This is a comprehensive statement for humanity, 00:02:51.310 --> 00:02:53.409 but then it narrowed down all people to two paths: 00:02:53.409 --> 00:02:56.409 "As for him who gives and fears Allah 00:02:56.409 --> 00:02:59.409 and believes in the best reward, 00:02:59.409 --> 00:03:00.409 We will make smooth for him the way of ease." 00:03:00.409 --> 00:03:02.409 "But as for him who is greedy and feels himself self-sufficient, 00:03:02.409 --> 00:03:04.409 and denies the best reward, 00:03:04.409 --> 00:03:06.569 We will make smooth for him the way of hardship." 00:03:06.569 --> 00:03:07.569 Are people truly in two groups? 00:03:07.569 --> 00:03:11.569 Yes. 00:03:11.569 --> 00:03:15.569 And yet, within each group are subgroups and levels. 00:03:15.569 --> 00:03:18.629 Not all those who believe in the best reward are on the same level of belief, 00:03:18.629 --> 00:03:22.629 nor those who deny it. 00:03:22.629 --> 00:03:23.629 And similarly, people are not on one level in giving and fearing Allah. 00:03:23.629 --> 00:03:25.629 And so on, as mentioned. 00:03:25.629 --> 00:03:26.629 This is among the wonders of the Qur'an: 00:03:26.629 --> 00:03:28.629 that it is comprehensive. 00:03:28.629 --> 00:03:30.789 No one falls outside of this. 00:03:30.789 --> 00:03:31.789 And yet, 00:03:31.789 --> 00:03:33.789 it is extremely concise. 00:03:33.789 --> 00:03:36.789 It depicts for you the scattered efforts, 00:03:36.789 --> 00:03:39.080 which are in various directions, 00:03:39.080 --> 00:03:42.080 and reduces them to two matters. 00:03:42.080 --> 00:03:48.080 And these classifications are a blessing from Allah upon us: 00:03:48.080 --> 00:03:50.080 concise texts or words 00:03:50.080 --> 00:03:53.110 with which you can interpret all of life 00:03:53.110 --> 00:03:55.300 and know where you are and where you are heading. 00:03:55.300 --> 00:03:58.460 I ask Allah to make our path easy 00:03:58.460 --> 00:04:00.460 and to keep us away from hardship, 00:04:00.460 --> 00:04:02.460 and to benefit us with this noble Surah. 00:04:02.460 --> 00:04:04.460 May Allah bless our Prophet Muhammad, 00:04:04.460 --> 00:04:06.460 and his family and all his Companions.
