In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful Conclusion from Al-Tabari’s interpretation It was summarized by Dr. Aqeel bin Salem Al-Shammar Surat Taha In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful And the faces of the Ever-Living, the Ever-Living He who was unjustly burdened has been disappointed The faces of creation were captivated and surrendered to the Living and Undying One The Sustainer of His creation by His management of them He who carried him to the place of resurrection did not achieve his need as a polytheism to God They disbelieved in him and disobeyed him Whoever does good deeds while being a believer will not fear injustice or oppression And whoever does righteous deeds while believing in God And it is a reward for those who obey Him He does not fear that God will wrong him He bears the bad deeds of others upon him He is not afraid that his good deeds will be absorbed by him and he will lack their reward Likewise, We revealed it as an Arabic Qur’an And We distracted from it the threat, so that perhaps they might be fearful Or a male happens to them We, people of faith, also desire good deeds We also warned the people of disbelief to stand against our sins So We sent down this Qur’an in Arabic, since they were Arabs We frightened them with various threats so that they would fear us Or this Qur’an will remind them They consider and learn from our action against the nations that denied the messengers before them So exalted is God, the True King And do not hasten with the Qur’an before its revelation is completed to you And say, “My Lord, increase me in knowledge.” So the One to Whom is worship was exalted above all His creation The truth about what the polytheists describe of His creation O Muhammad, do not rush with the Qur’an So you read it to your companions before an explanation of its meanings is given to you And say, O Muhammad, my Lord, increase me in knowledge according to what you have taught me We made a covenant with Adam before, but he forgot, and we did not find in him any resolve We advised Adam on behalf of those to whom he was told that he had directed the threat So he left my covenant We did not find in him a resolve of heart to fulfill his promise to God Nor to keep what was entrusted to him And when We said to the angels, “Prostrate to Adam,” they prostrated, except for Iblis, his father So we said, “O Adam, this is an enemy to you and your husband, so he will not expel you from Paradise and you will be miserable.” And remember, O Muhammad, when we said to the angels They prostrated to Adam, so they prostrated to him, except for Iblis, who refused to prostrate to him So we said, Adam, this is an enemy of you and your husband, so do not obey him in what he orders you to do He will expel you both from Paradise, and your livelihood will be from the toil of your hand This is his misery that his Lord warned him about And you do not perform the ritual prayer during it or sacrifice it Then Satan whispered to him and said, “O Adam, shall I direct you to the tree of eternity?” He said, “O Adam, shall I direct you to the tree of eternity and a kingdom that will not fade away?” O Adam, you will neither starve nor be naked in it And you will not thirst in Paradise as long as you are there Do not appear in the sun, lest its heat harm you So he brought Satan to Adam and spoke to him and said O Adam, shall I direct you to a tree that if you eat from it, you will live immortally and will not die? And you possessed a kingdom that does not expire and fade away So they ate from it, and their private parts became apparent to them, and they began to swear at them And they began to cover themselves with leaves from Paradise Adam disobeyed his Lord and went astray Then his Lord chose him and turned to him and guided him So Adam and Eve ate from the tree from which they were forbidden to eat Then their nakedness was revealed to them It was hidden from their eyes And they came saddled with leaves from Paradise Adam disobeyed the command of his Lord He went beyond what he had no right to go beyond From eating from the tree from which he was forbidden to eat Then his Lord chose him after his disobedience He guided him to repentance and enabled him to do it He said, Get down from it all together, some of you enemies to one another Either it comes that you are guidance from me Whoever follows gifts will not go astray or be miserable God Almighty said to Adam and Eve Come down from heaven all to earth You are the enemy of Satan and his offspring Satan is your enemy and the enemy of your offspring If he comes to you, O Adam, Eve, and Satan I have a statement on my path And whatever religion I choose for my creation Whoever follows my statement and acts upon it He will not be removed from the argument of truth But he guides and guides you in this world He will not be miserable in the afterlife due to God’s punishment And whoever turns away from My remembrance He has a poor living He has a poor living And We will gather him on the Day of Resurrection blind And whoever turns away from My remembrance? He did not accept it or respond to it He has a narrow livelihood It is the torment of the grave And We will gather him from his grave To the position of Resurrection on the Day of Resurrection blind He said, “Lord, why did you gather me blind?” And I was insightful He said as well Our signs came to you but you forgot them And also today you forget He said, “Lord, why did you gather me blind?” About my argument and vision of things And I was in this world I told him this is sight God said I did that to you and blinded you Just as My verses came to you but you abandoned them and turned away from them She did not believe in it and did not work Just as you forgot Our signs in this world Likewise, today we will forget you and leave you in hell And thus We recompense those who are generous He did not believe in the signs of his Lord So we will make a miserable living for him in the isthmus And God’s punishment for them in the Hereafter is more severe and more lasting than what He punished them with in the grave أفلم يهدي لهم كم أهلكنا قبلهم من القرون يمشون في مساكنهم If you talk about them He will not guide them as many centuries ago as We destroyed them while they walked in their dwellings Indeed, in that are signs for those who know them Did not the multitude of the nations that preceded them become clear to them that We had destroyed before them? Which they walk in their homes They see the effects of our punishments that we imposed on them They learn, consider, and believe Indeed, what these people see لدلالات ومساكين For connotations and lessons for the people of Hajj and minds Whoever is prevented by his mind and understanding from dealing with what will harm him And had it not been for a word that preceded from your Lord, O Muhammad That everyone who has given a term has his time He does not choose it before reaching the deadline And the appointed time is with your Lord. They have reached it They must die soon So be patient with what they say And praise your Lord before sunrise And before sunset And from the end of the night, he glorified God And the ends of the day, perhaps you will be satisfied So be patient, O Muhammad, with what these people say Those who deny the verses of God Join your praise with the praise of your Lord Before sunrise and before sunset From the hours of the night and the ends of the day To be satisfied And do not look at what We have made to be weak It has those who turn away from the signs of their Lord Their forms are a pleasure in their worldly life From the urgent flower of the world and its view Let's test them with what we entertained them with This is fleeting And your Lord has provided you with what He promised you in the Hereafter It is better for you than what we have given them and is more lasting لأنه لن قطاع له ولا نفاد And be patient with it, we will not ask you for sustenance We provide for you and the outcome is piety O Muhammad, command your family to pray واستبر على القيام بها وأدائها We don't ask you for money Rather, we assign you work on your body We will give you a great reward for it We give you money and don't ask you The consequence is valid from the work of every worker For people of piety and fear of God Without anyone who does not fear punishment He does not hope for any reward And they said, "If only he would not bring us a sign from his Lord." Did not the evidence come to them that was in the earlier scriptures? These polytheists said Does Muhammad not bring us a sign from his Lord? Have there not come to them an explanation of what was in the books before this book? Of the leaders of the nations before them We destroyed them when they asked for signs So they disbelieved in it when it came to them How did We hasten their torment? What will make them believe if the sign comes to them? That their situation be the same as those Even if We had destroyed them with torment before it They would have said, “Our Lord, had you not sent us a messenger.” So we will follow Your signs before we become humiliated and disgraced Even if we had destroyed these polytheists Those who deny this Qur’an من قبل أن ننزله عليهم They would say on the Day of Resurrection Our Lord, did you not send us a messenger? He calls us to obey you We follow your argument and evidence Before we humiliated you by torturing us And we are ashamed of him Say, “Everyone is lurking,” and they will lurk فستعلمون من أصحاب الصراط السوي And who is guided? Say, Muhammad All of you who polytheize God Waiting for who the farmer will be And to what my command and your command say So watch and wait You will learn from the people of the straight path The aggressor who is cruel to him We or you? Then you will know who is the right one Who is on the Sunnah of the Way The unjust intent وعن قصده منا ومنكم Conclusion from Al-Tabari’s interpretation
