A hadith and commentary.
On the authority of ‘A’ishah, may Allah be pleased with her, who said:
I missed the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, from my bed one night,
so I began to search for him,
and my hand fell upon his feet while he was saying:
"O Allah, I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your displeasure,
and in Your pardon from Your punishment,
and in You from You.
I cannot fully praise You;
You are as You have praised Yourself."
Narrated by Muslim.
Commentary:
This magnificent supplication is among those recited during prostration,
so be diligent in reciting it.
