Established Sunnahs of the Prophet:
Visiting one another for the sake of Allah.
On the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him),
from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him),
that a man visited a brother of his in another village.
So Allah stationed an angel along his path—
meaning He placed him on the road to wait for him.
When the angel came upon him, he asked,
"Where are you heading?"
He replied,
"I intend to visit a brother of mine in this village."
The angel asked,
"Do you owe him any favor that you seek to foster or reciprocate?"
He replied,
"No,
except that I love him for the sake of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic."
The angel said,
"Indeed, I am a messenger sent by Allah to you
to inform you that Allah loves you just as you have loved him for His sake."
