I am one of the companions
Thaqafi from Taif
I came with my people to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, in the year of delegations
I was the youngest of them
So I came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, before them
So I converted to Islam
And read me from the Qur’an
I adhered to Ubayy ibn Ka'b, may God be pleased with him
They used to recite the Qur’an to me
When he wanted to, get up and go
They said, O Messenger of God
Someone ordered us
So he ordered me to control them
And he said
It's a bag
He took a source from the Qur’an
They imposed and said
We do not change a prince given over us by the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
So I returned with them to Taif
I was their prince and their leader in prayer
One day I complained to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, about my pain
I find it in my body since I converted to Islam
It almost killed me
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to me
Put your hand on the one who hurt your body
And say in the name of God three times
And say seven times
I seek refuge in God and His power from the evil of what I find and beware of
So I did
So the pain went away from me
He was offering me something during my prayer
I don't even know what to pray for
The Qur’an was reciting to me
When I saw that
She traveled to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
And he said
What brought you?
I said
O Messenger of God
Offer me something in my prayers
I don't even know what to pray for
And the Qur’an slips away from me
He said
That devil
Come closer
So I approached him
She sat on my feet
He hit my chest with his hand
And spit in my mouth
And he said
Drive out the enemy of God
So do that three times
Then he said
Right to your country
By God, he has not mingled with me yet in my prayer
I have not forgotten anything that I want to memorize
I had a role in preventing Thaqif from apostasy
Where she engaged to them after the death of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
And the apostasy of all Arabs
So I said
O people of Thaqif!
You were the last people to convert to Islam
Do not be the first to backslide
So God made them steadfast
I have sent my servants as merchants
When they came
I said
What you came with
They said
We brought a trade
He won ten dirhams in it
I said
What is the trade that you entered into?
There is a lot of gain in this
They said
Wine
I said
Wine
We have forbidden drinking and selling it
So I opened the mouths of the containers and poured them into the streets
