As I hesitate about taking the soul of My believing servant.

He dislikes death.

Through the Sunnah.

Is to place between ourselves and the punishment of Allah a barrier.

By performing His obedience and abandoning His disobedience.

Yes, the soul that inclines to evil.

And the devil and desires.

May overpower a person.

And his resolve may weaken.

So he commits an act of disobedience to Allah.

But he strives against his soul not to fall into sin.

And if he falls into sin.

He hastens to repent.

And this, I mean repentance.

Is also among the reasons for Allah’s love.

Because Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, says.

“They question thee (O Muhammad) concerning menstruation. Say: It is an illness, so let women alone at such times and go not in unto them till they are cleansed. And when they have purified themselves, then go in unto them as Allah hath enjoined upon you. Truly Allah loveth those who turn unto Him, and loveth those who have a care for cleanness.” (2:222)

Its essence is fear of the Majestic,

And its essence is reverence and glorification of Allah,

That they will return to their Creator,

And He will hold them to account,

For every action they have committed,

So they repent to Allah.

And Allah, glory be to Him,

Is Generous, Great, and Majestic;

He rejoices at the repentance of His servant,

And accepts their repentance,

And replaces their bad deeds with good ones.

This is part of the kindness of Allah, glory be to Him.

Except for those who repent, believe,

And do righteous deeds;

For such people,

“Save him who repenteth and believeth and doth righteous work; as for such, Allah will change their evil deeds to good deeds. Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful.” (25:70)

And among the causes of Allah’s love,

Also, O servants of Allah,

Is excellence (ihsan).

Exists between the servant and their Lord,

By performing deeds with sincerity for Allah,

As if they see Him.

For if they do not see Him,

Then know, O servant of Allah,

That He sees you,

And knows your secrets and your private whispers,

And nothing of your affairs is hidden from Him,

In a dark room,

Or a closed one,

Or on a journey,

For Allah, glory be to Him,

Knows the treachery of the eyes,

And what the hearts conceal.

And excellence, O servants of Allah,

It exists toward the servants [of Allah],

By fulfilling their needs,

And by relieving their distress.

Indeed, excellence, O servants of Allah,

Also exists,

Even with animals.

This is one of the causes of Allah’s mercy,

And one of the causes of His forgiveness.

Do you not see that,

Sinful woman,

Who gave water to a dog,

So Allah appreciated her deed,

And forgave her for this act,

Because she showed excellence,

Seeking what is with Allah.

So if a Muslim achieves,

These matters,

Allah will love them.

And whoever Allah loves,

Has attained happiness and salvation,

In this world and the Hereafter.

Of Allah’s love,

Is purity.

Our Lord, the Almighty and Majestic, says,

"And Allah loves those who are pure."

And purity includes,

00:13:09.860 --> 00:13:11.860
Physical and spiritual purity.

00:13:11.860 --> 00:13:13.860
The servant purifies themselves,

00:13:13.860 --> 00:13:15.860
From sins and offenses,

00:13:15.860 --> 00:13:17.860
And purifies their heart from arrogance,

00:13:17.860 --> 00:13:19.860
And vanity,

00:13:19.860 --> 00:13:21.860
And hatred and envy,

00:13:21.860 --> 00:13:23.860
And all other diseases and ailments.

00:13:23.860 --> 00:13:25.860
And they purify themselves,

00:13:25.860 --> 00:13:27.860
Through washing and ablution,

00:13:27.860 --> 00:13:29.860
And by being clean.

00:13:29.860 --> 00:13:31.860
For Allah, glory be to Him,

00:13:31.860 --> 00:13:33.860
Loves those who are characterized,

00:13:33.860 --> 00:13:35.860
By these qualities.

00:13:35.860 --> 00:13:37.860
And among the causes of Allah’s love also,

00:13:37.860 --> 00:13:39.860
Is that you love for the sake of Allah.

00:13:39.860 --> 00:13:41.950
A man visited,

00:13:41.950 --> 00:13:43.950
A brother of his in a village,

00:13:43.950 --> 00:13:45.950
So Allah sent upon,

00:13:45.950 --> 00:13:47.950
His path an angel.

00:13:47.950 --> 00:13:49.950
And he said to him,

00:13:49.950 --> 00:13:51.950
"Do you have a need you seek?"

00:13:51.950 --> 00:13:53.950
Meaning, do you want him,

00:13:53.950 --> 00:13:55.950
For some worldly purpose,

00:13:55.950 --> 00:13:57.950
Or do you want him for a need,

00:13:57.950 --> 00:13:59.950
Of the needs of this world?

00:13:59.950 --> 00:14:01.950
He said, "No,

00:14:01.950 --> 00:14:03.950
Except that I loved him for the sake of Allah."

00:14:03.950 --> 00:14:05.950
He said, "I am a messenger of Allah to you,

00:14:05.950 --> 00:14:07.950
To inform you,

00:14:07.950 --> 00:14:09.950
That Allah has loved you,

00:14:09.950 --> 00:14:11.950
As you have loved him."

00:14:11.950 --> 00:14:13.950
Narrated by al-Bukhari.

And in the Qudsi hadith,

Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, says,

"Where are those who love one another for My sake?"

And in a narration by Muslim,

"Where are those who love one another for My Majesty?

00:14:23.950 --> 00:14:25.950
Today,

00:14:25.950 --> 00:14:27.950
I will shade them in My shade,

00:14:27.950 --> 00:14:29.950
On a day when there is no shade but My shade."

00:14:29.950 --> 00:14:31.950
O blessed one,

00:14:31.950 --> 00:14:33.950
O noble one,

00:14:33.950 --> 00:14:35.950
Those who love one another for the Majesty of Allah,

00:14:35.950 --> 00:14:37.950
Will be upon pulpits of light,

00:14:37.950 --> 00:14:39.950
Envied by the prophets.

00:14:39.950 --> 00:14:41.950
They attained this status,

00:14:41.950 --> 00:14:43.950
High and exalted,

00:14:43.950 --> 00:14:45.950
Because they loved for the sake of Allah.

00:14:45.950 --> 00:14:47.950
You see a person among the righteous,

00:14:47.950 --> 00:14:49.950
And the virtuous,

00:14:49.950 --> 00:14:51.950
You do not hope for anything from them,

00:14:51.950 --> 00:14:53.950
And you do not fear them,

00:14:53.950 --> 00:14:55.950
You only loved them for the sake of Allah,

00:14:55.950 --> 00:14:57.950
Then Allah will love you.

00:14:57.950 --> 00:14:59.950
So you must, O my blessed brother,

00:14:59.950 --> 00:15:01.950
Love the person for the sake of Allah,

00:15:01.950 --> 00:15:03.950
Not for purposes or for worldly gain.

00:15:03.950 --> 00:15:05.950
So that even if your deeds fall short,

00:15:05.950 --> 00:15:07.950
On the Day of Resurrection,

00:15:07.950 --> 00:15:09.950
You will be gathered with the righteous.

00:15:09.950 --> 00:15:11.950
Anas, may Allah be pleased with him, says,

"By Allah,

00:15:13.950 --> 00:15:15.950
We never rejoiced after Islam,

00:15:15.950 --> 00:15:17.950
As much as we rejoiced at the saying of the Messenger of Allah,

Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,

00:15:19.950 --> 00:15:21.950
'A person,

00:15:21.950 --> 00:15:23.950
Is with whom they love.'

00:15:23.950 --> 00:15:25.950
He said, 'So I,

00:15:25.950 --> 00:15:27.950
Love Allah and His Messenger,

00:15:27.950 --> 00:15:29.950
And Abu Bakr and Umar,

00:15:29.950 --> 00:15:31.950
And I hope that Allah will gather me with them,

00:15:31.950 --> 00:15:33.950
Even if I have not acted,

00:15:33.950 --> 00:15:35.950
With their deeds.'"

00:15:35.950 --> 00:15:37.950
And I, from this place,

00:15:37.950 --> 00:15:39.950
Call Allah to witness,

00:15:39.950 --> 00:15:41.950
That I love you for the sake of Allah.

00:15:41.950 --> 00:15:43.950
We ask Allah, the Majestic,

00:15:43.950 --> 00:15:45.950
To make our deeds righteous,

00:15:45.950 --> 00:15:47.950
And for His Face, sincere,

00:15:47.950 --> 00:15:49.950
And to benefit us with this love.

00:15:49.950 --> 00:15:51.950
O Allah, grant us Your love,

00:15:51.950 --> 00:15:53.950
And the love of those who love You,

00:15:53.950 --> 00:15:55.950
And the love of every deed that brings us closer.

00:15:55.950 --> 00:15:57.950
O Allah, [grant us] Your love.

00:15:57.950 --> 00:15:59.950
O Allah, grant us strength of faith,

00:15:59.950 --> 00:16:01.950
And sincerity of certainty,

00:16:01.950 --> 00:16:03.950
And good reliance upon You.

O Allah, O Hearer of supplication,

00:16:05.950 --> 00:16:07.950
And O Vast in giving,

00:16:07.950 --> 00:16:09.950
Make us among those whose hearts You have rectified,

And whose guidance You have inspired,

00:16:11.950 --> 00:16:13.950
And whose affairs You have eased,

00:16:13.950 --> 00:16:15.950
And whose faults You have covered,

00:16:15.950 --> 00:16:17.950
And whose sins You have forgiven,

00:16:17.950 --> 00:16:19.950
And with whom You are pleased,

00:16:19.950 --> 00:16:21.950
And whose mind You have set at ease,

00:16:21.950 --> 00:16:23.950
And whose worries You have relieved.

00:16:23.950 --> 00:16:25.950
O Allah, O Lord,

00:16:25.950 --> 00:16:27.950
We ask You for guidance and right conduct,

00:16:27.950 --> 00:16:29.950
And success and happiness,

00:16:29.950 --> 00:16:31.950
For us and our parents,

00:16:31.950 --> 00:16:33.950
And our offspring,

00:16:33.950 --> 00:16:35.950
And for the Muslims.

O Allah, bless us in our provisions,

And our lives,

00:16:39.950 --> 00:16:41.950
And our children and our families.

O Allah, do not reject any supplication of ours,

And keep away from us every affliction,

And record us among the happy ones,

00:16:47.950 --> 00:16:49.950
O Hearer of supplication.

00:16:49.950 --> 00:16:51.950
O Allah, grant us security

00:16:51.950 --> 00:16:53.950
in our dwellings and homes.

00:16:53.950 --> 00:16:55.950
Reform, and reform [our affairs],

00:16:55.950 --> 00:16:57.950
and protect those in authority.

00:16:57.950 --> 00:16:59.950
O Allah, mighty is Your protection,

00:16:59.950 --> 00:17:01.950
exalted is Your praise, and sanctified

00:17:01.950 --> 00:17:03.950
are Your names; none can turn back

00:17:03.950 --> 00:17:05.950
Your command, and Your army cannot be defeated.

00:17:05.950 --> 00:17:07.950
You are the Powerful, and more powerful than any

00:17:07.950 --> 00:17:09.950
powerful being; You are the Almighty.

00:17:09.950 --> 00:17:11.950
You are the Compeller.

00:17:11.950 --> 00:17:13.950
You are the Sovereign.

00:17:13.950 --> 00:17:15.950
O Allah, deal with the Jews,

00:17:15.950 --> 00:17:17.950
the usurpers.

00:17:17.950 --> 00:17:19.950
O Allah, deal with the Jews, the usurpers.

00:17:19.950 --> 00:17:21.950
O Allah, deal with the Jews, the usurpers.

00:17:21.950 --> 00:17:23.950
Do not raise a banner for them,

00:17:23.950 --> 00:17:25.950
and do not let them achieve their goal.

00:17:25.950 --> 00:17:27.950
Make them a lesson

00:17:27.950 --> 00:17:29.950
and a sign; show us regarding them

00:17:29.950 --> 00:17:31.950
the wonders of Your power.

00:17:31.950 --> 00:17:33.950
Grant victory to our brothers in Palestine.

00:17:33.950 --> 00:17:35.950
O Allah, grant them victory over those

00:17:35.950 --> 00:17:37.950
who have oppressed them. O Allah,

00:17:37.950 --> 00:17:39.950
be for them a supporter and an aid,

00:17:39.950 --> 00:17:41.950
and a helper and a backer.

00:17:41.950 --> 00:17:43.950
O Allah, purify the Al-Aqsa Mosque

00:17:43.950 --> 00:17:45.950
from the filth of

00:17:45.950 --> 00:17:47.950
the Jews, the usurpers.

00:17:47.950 --> 00:17:49.950
O Allah, O Hearer of supplication,

00:17:49.950 --> 00:17:51.950
O Giver of vast bounty,

00:17:51.950 --> 00:17:53.950
O You whom nothing can frustrate on earth

00:17:53.950 --> 00:17:55.950
or in the heavens,

00:17:55.950 --> 00:17:57.950
we love You,

00:17:57.950 --> 00:17:59.950
so do not withhold Your grace from us because of our sins.

00:17:59.950 --> 00:18:01.950
Grant us what we have hoped for,

00:18:01.950 --> 00:18:03.950
and even more than we have hoped for,

00:18:03.950 --> 00:18:05.950
of the good of this world and the Hereafter.

00:18:05.950 --> 00:18:07.950
O Allah, send prayers and peace

00:18:07.950 --> 00:18:09.950
upon our master Muhammad,

00:18:09.950 --> 00:18:11.950
and upon all his family and companions.

00:18:11.950 --> 00:18:13.950
And praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
