God Almighty said
And those who say, “Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and our offspring a comfort to our eyes and make us leaders for the righteous.”
A man asked Al-Hasan Al-Basri about this verse
And those who say, “Our Lord, grant us from our wives and our offspring a comfort to our eyes.”
What is comfort, is it in this world or in the hereafter?
He said, “Rather, it is in this world.”
It is, by God, that the servant sees obedience to God from his children
Nothing is more pleasing to the eyes of the believer
To see his beloved in obedience to God
