A summary of the concepts held by the Ahl al-Sunnah.
The importance of clarifying the shirk of governance to the Ummah.
Since ruling by other than what Allah has revealed
is the prevailing state in most Muslim lands,
clarifying the truth regarding this issue has become of paramount importance.
It is incumbent upon the scholars and the callers of the Ummah to explain this,
and to refute the misconceptions that permit ruling by other than what Allah has revealed.
For Allah has taken a covenant from the people of knowledge
to clarify the truth to the people and not to conceal it.
Allah the Almighty says:
“And (remember) when Allah laid a charge on those who had received the Scripture (He said): Ye are to expound it to mankind and not to hide it. But they flung it behind their backs and bought thereby a little gain. Verily evil is that which they have gained thereby.” (3:187)

Spreading knowledge regarding this issue is an urgent necessity
so that this Ummah may bear the burden of Islam
and act upon it,
after many have succumbed to erroneous concepts
which portrayed to them, among other things,
that the matter of implementing the Sharia is a secondary issue,
and has no relation to the legitimacy of the ruling regime.
Rather, according to these erroneous concepts, legitimacy
is achieved through elections, parliaments,
and honeyed slogans.
They have lied in what they claimed.
In fact, that is the very shirk of love and disbelief in what Allah has revealed.
And since this clarification does not please the tyrants,
it is no surprise that
they attack everyone who proclaims it with force and resolve,
and they pour upon them various forms of affliction and persecution,
while distorting, through lies and fabrication,
the image of the callers to the truth who clarify this,
by claiming that they are terrorists and ignorant.
Therefore, the callers to the truth must
arm themselves with patience in the face of this falsehood,
and prepare their souls to remain steadfast upon the truth,
out of sincerity to Allah and His Messenger,
and as a warning against the shirk of governance and its danger.
