Exaggeration and excess
Exaggeration exceeds the limit
And from it is the saying of God Almighty
Say, O People of the Book, do not go to extremes in your religion other than the truth
And excessive precedence and progress
Among them is the supplication in prayer for the dead child
Oh God, make it for us an advance, an abundance, and a reward
That is, an advance to Paradise and a reason for joining him there
What is meant here is that it is excessive
It is everyone who came before and advanced the way
Until he crossed the limit and went beyond it
So his progress will be without guidance
Causing you to exceed the limit and go off the road
Al-Tabari said in his interpretation of the verse:
Do not exaggerate in saying what you believe about the matter of Christ
So they went beyond the truth to falsehood
So you say about him, “He is God.”
Or is it his son
But say it
He is the servant of God and His word which He delivered to Mary and a spirit from Him
He, may God bless him and grant him peace, said
Beware of exaggeration in religion
Extremism in religion destroyed those before you
Narrated by Al-Nasa'i and Ibn Majah
It was authenticated by Al-Albani
So exaggeration and excess
It is exceeding the limit and transgressing what God has commanded
Or do what God Almighty has not prescribed
Nor did His Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace
It is not intended
Strive to obey in accordance with the Qur’an and the authentic Sunnah
That is legitimate
Other than reprehensible exaggeration
