00:00:00.780 --> 00:00:03.779
A verse and its Tafsir

00:00:03.779 --> 00:00:07.459
Allah the Exalted says:

00:00:07.459 --> 00:00:13.460
"And live with them in kindness."

00:00:13.460 --> 00:00:18.989
This means it is incumbent upon you to treat your wives with kindness,

00:00:18.989 --> 00:00:23.989
such that your companionship and interaction with them is based on goodness,

00:00:23.989 --> 00:00:27.989
in a manner that their natures recognize and find agreeable.

00:00:27.989 --> 00:00:29.989
Being stingy with financial support,

00:00:29.989 --> 00:00:32.990
causing harm through speech or action,

00:00:32.990 --> 00:00:36.990
and frequently wearing a scowl or frowning upon meeting them,

00:00:36.990 --> 00:00:40.990
all of this contradicts living with them in kindness.

00:00:40.990 --> 00:00:43.409
Tafsir of Ibn Kathir
