0:00 The Garden of Guidance.
0:04 Allah, Almighty and Glorious, said:
0:07 “This it is which Allah announceth unto His bondmen who believe and do good works. Say (O Muhammad, unto mankind): I ask of you no fee therefor, save lovingkindness among kinsfolk. And whoso scoreth a good deed We add unto its good for him. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Responsive.” (42:23)
0:17 “This it is which Allah announceth unto His bondmen who believe and do good works. Say (O Muhammad, unto mankind): I ask of you no fee therefor, save lovingkindness among kinsfolk. And whoso scoreth a good deed We add unto its good for him. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Responsive.” (42:23)
0:25 “This it is which Allah announceth unto His bondmen who believe and do good works. Say (O Muhammad, unto mankind): I ask of you no fee therefor, save lovingkindness among kinsfolk. And whoso scoreth a good deed We add unto its good for him. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Responsive.” (42:23)
0:32 “This it is which Allah announceth unto His bondmen who believe and do good works. Say (O Muhammad, unto mankind): I ask of you no fee therefor, save lovingkindness among kinsfolk. And whoso scoreth a good deed We add unto its good for him. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Responsive.” (42:23)
0:57 "And whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day,
1:01 let him speak good or remain silent."
1:05 Agreed upon [by al-Bukhari and Muslim].
1:07 When al-Bukhari narrated
1:11 from Ibn 'Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both,
1:14 that he was asked regarding His saying:
1:16 “This it is which Allah announceth unto His bondmen who believe and do good works. Say (O Muhammad, unto mankind): I ask of you no fee therefor, save lovingkindness among kinsfolk. And whoso scoreth a good deed We add unto its good for him. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Responsive.” (42:23)
1:19 Sa'id ibn Jubayr said: "It means closeness to the family of Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him."
1:22 "Closeness to the family of Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him."
1:26 Ibn 'Abbas replied:
1:28 "You have jumped to a conclusion.
1:30 Indeed, the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
1:33 was related to every single clan
1:35 of Quraysh without exception."
1:38 So he said:
1:40 "Except that you maintain the ties of kinship between me and you."
1:45 Narrated by al-Bukhari.
1:48 And this—Allah knows best—perhaps
1:51 resembles what Moses, peace be upon him, said to his people:
1:55 “And lo! I have sought refuge in my Lord and your Lord lest ye stone me to death.” (44:20)
2:00 “And if ye put no faith in me, then let me go.” (44:21)
