0:00 Bustan al-Huda (The Garden of Guidance).
0:04 Allah, Almighty and Glorious, said:
0:08 “O mankind! worship your Lord, Who hath created you and those before you, so that ye may ward off (evil).” (2:21)
0:22 And His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
0:26 "O humanity!
0:29 Indeed, Allah, Almighty and Glorious, commands you to worship Him."
0:33 “And serve Allah. Ascribe no thing as partner unto Him. (Show) kindness unto parents, and unto near kindred, and orphans, and the needy, and unto the neighbour who is of kin (unto you) and the neighbour who is not of kin, and the fellow-traveller and the wayfarer and (the slaves) whom your right hands possess. Lo! Allah loveth not such as are proud and boastful,” (4:36)
0:36 Reported by Ahmad.
0:38 A point of benefit:
0:41 The first call in the Noble Qur'an
0:44 was addressed to all of humanity,
0:46 and it encompassed a command to worship—
0:49 worshipping the Lord of the worlds,
0:51 Who created, multiplied,
0:53 provided, and bestowed goodness.
0:55 Thus, He alone is the Creator worthy of worship,
0:57 and there is no deity for whom worship is suitable other than Him.
1:01 The essence of worship
1:04 is submission and humility before Allah,
1:07 such that the servant carries out what his Lord, Exalted is His Majesty, has commanded him
1:11 and leaves what He has forbidden him,
1:13 without following desire
1:16 or seeking judgment from anything other than divine revelation.
