Among the means of achieving steadfastness:

Supporting the religion of Allah,

In its creed and its rulings,

And in every matter that brings victory to Islam and the Muslims,

Especially in a time when supporters are scarce,

And enemies and those who abandon the truth are many.

Allah the Almighty says:

“Those who have been driven from their homes unjustly only because they said: Our Lord is Allah - For had it not been for Allah's repelling some men by means of others, cloisters and churches and oratories and mosques, wherein the name of Allah is oft mentioned, would assuredly have been pulled down. Verily Allah helpeth one who helpeth Him. Lo! Allah is Strong, Almighty -” (22:40)

If you support Allah, He will support you

And plant firmly your feet.﴿

And He will waste their deeds.﴿

This is a command from Allah to the believers,

To support Allah by upholding His religion and calling others to it,

And by striving against His enemies,

With the intention of seeking the countenance of Allah alone.

With patience, tranquility, and steadfastness,

And He will fortify their bodies to endure,

And aid them against their enemies.

This is a promise from the Generous, the Truthful in His promise,

That whoever supports Him through words and deeds,

His Lord will support him,

And facilitate for him the means of victory, including steadfastness and more.

As for those who disbelieved in their Lord,

And supported falsehood,

They are in a state of misery,

Meaning a reversal of their affairs and abandonment.

Meaning He will render void the deeds by which they plot against the truth,

So their schemes will recoil upon them,

That loss and misery for those who disbelieved

Is because they disliked what Allah revealed of the Qur'an,
