On the authority of Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, who said:

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:

"Verily, Allah the Exalted is pure and accepts only that which is pure."

"And verily, Allah has commanded the believers with what He commanded the messengers."

So He, the Exalted, said:

“O ye messengers! Eat of the good things, and do right. Lo! I am Aware of what ye do.” (23:51)

“O ye who believe! Eat of the good things wherewith We have provided you, and render thanks to Allah if it is (indeed) He Whom ye worship.” (2:172)
